How many times have you seen a doll in a promo photo and thought,
“That is EXACTLY what I want!” ![]()
You are not alone.
We have taken orders for many dolls in just that way.
We have done the same ourselves !
A ‘look’ just speaks to us and we have to have it !
There isn’t anything wrong with this method of deciding on a doll purchase. It’s easy and you know what the desired outcome will be.
But there is another way!
Recently, we started working out the details for an order.
An Irontech 161 Minus for our collection.
Frankly, the faces offered were not an “As Pictured” moment.
We wanted something different.
I decided to consult with my good friend and goth expert @Slayers to get some advice. And of course he had some great ideas!
Thank you Slayers! I have admired your girls for a very long time!
I have to admit, this presented some exciting possibilities and it wasn’t that difficult to find many examples to choose from with a simple Google search.
And the best part, a truly custom look for us.
We are not normally partial to multiple heads for one body but this is the exception. Two different takes on the goth look…two completely different personalities.
We will be getting the Vanessa head:
With this makeup:
And the T1 head:
With this makeup and implanted hair:
This was so much fun!
I encourage everyone to skip the ‘As Pictured’ look just once and explore the possibilities beyond the listed options.
It’s a chance to venture out to make your doll uniquely yours!
Whatever you do…Have fun!
Now maybe you have already experienced this. We have so many creative members here I would not be surprised ![]()
If that is the case, please share your photos and the process that led you to do any special customizations.
Please include the brand you worked with and tell us a bit about how your requests were handled and how closely those details were produced.
OKAY! It’s your turn….
I cannot wait to hear from you! ![]()
