Let me first say hello. We were invited to this forum on a different forum by a member here. So here is our story. My wife got diagnosed wifh cancer a little over 2 years ago and it has obviously caused a lot of problems for us. Recently sex has become very difficult for her. We’ve tried everything and its just too hard for her. We spoke with a couple we are very close to and they actually brought up the doll idea. So we’ve been looking in to this for months now and made the decision to purchase a doll that was on sale. Im not sure if I can mention the manufacturer on this forum so I’ll just say the dolls name is Kendall. The marketing for the doll indicated soft feet and showed a picture with no foot bolts. When we got the doll the first thing we did was feel the feet through the packing material and the doll has bolts. The doll has not been removed from the packaging and we have been trying to resolve the issue with the company that sold us the doll but they have stopped communicating and have said all sales final. So our first experience was not good. Our hope is that we will get a refund or that we will be able to sell the doll if that’s even possible. We looked through some of the pics of the dolls on this forum and we were legitimately impressed. Hopefully y’all can help us make a better purchase with our next doll.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience with your first purchase. Good thing though, if the doll is meant as bed buddy and does not have to stand, you can remove the bolts and do without them but the feet will be susceptible to damage.

Yes, you can remove the bolts if that is enough of a ‘repair’ for you. Otherwise there is a “Market Place” on the forum where you can offer the failed purchase for resale.

Welcome here on this forum @Newdollcouple . I am also married, I have dolls just for display purposes. Love to do photo shoots with my wife together with the dolls for special occasions. I have my share of bad experiences one of the reasons I am very careful were to buy a doll. One of the things I have used from day one is. Pictures pictures and again pictures. Always ask for factory pictures then you see the real doll. If you order a doll and special when you want options ask for pictures before sending the doll. That way you know what you going to receive. Buy the doll from a vendor that is reliable Do not go for cheap because cheap is expensive in the long run. Leave sites like AliExpress for what it is. Do not think reviews save you because they write them their selves also. If a seller can’t provide you the pictures then believe me go somewhere else. Does responding take long that is also a bad sign. Very best thing for you to do. Is visit meets like the one here from LDNF on the East coast USA. The one coming up in Franklin gonna be awesome. You can see the dolls there and touch them. You can see all kind of makes there.
But like I said my experiences with manufacturers are diverse but lots are very nice till they have your money then you are on your own. The are there and in no time they disappear and come bac under an other name to do the same. But there are also very good manufacturers that are the ones that have a long history and are still there. I personally have very good experiences with @Coeros I won a stand at the last meet but the connector did bent and I told them that and wait for a new one they send for free.
I hope that they will be able to help you. My first dolls had bolts and they destroy stockings like crazy. I also won a doll at the last meet and she has hard feet and those are much better.
Overall you are here on the right place very friendly people here and lots a freedom not like an other forum like Rosemary were you have to be careful to post a link that’s not allowed
Me and my wife of 20 years love our dolls so definitely a doll is great idea to add to the relationship. As for the bolts. Now hard feet dont have Bolts but they have a huge downside. You can’t dress your girl up in high heels and have her stand independently wearing those heels because it will damage the feet. Now feel with bolts people can use those bolts to make like steel reinforced plates that bolt onto the feet with those bolt.
What the plates do is when yu have a steel plates secured to the feel you can now stand your doll in heels of all kinds without the worry of damaging thebfeet because the metal plates help take the weight off the silicone material itself. Making it safe to use Heels.
I have a hard feet doll and i sorta wish she had bolts because i would love to put her in stripper heels.

My former wife was the one who first introduced a doll into our lives and it has been an interesting journey over the past 4 years for me.
The members of this forum are outstanding in their support and understanding of other doll folks and their own unique journey. You have found a real community here that can help you both navigate this strange new world.
As for the feet bolts, I agree with the other comments here. They are removable and depending on how you choose to have ‘Kendall’ live with you both, they have a purpose. If she is going to be mainly bed-bound, the feet bolts can be safely removed. I’d still recommend keeping them handy as you may find out that she likes to stand in a spot, against a wall, or in a corner, when she is not horizontal. We recommend a large ‘car wash’ type sponge sit between ‘Kendall’ and the wall. This ensures she doesn’t transfer any oils to your wall, and prevents any denting from prolonged leaning against a wall.
Our first doll was a storefront (adult novelty store) purchase, and she was a ‘Kendall’ by XR Brands - Next Gen. She still lives with me, and continues to be an active part of our doll family.

First of all thank you for the warm welcome. We are definitely getting a great vibe from this community so far. We have the exact doll that was mentioned by V.T. It is the Kendall by NextGen XR Brands. From what we can tell so far it is a good mid tier doll and probably not a bad choice except for the bolts in the feet. The doll will not be standing. The goal was to keep her in the spare guest room so she probably wont be standing. This is all so very new to us. To be honest I never would have guessed we’d make a purchase like this but when the person you’ve loved all of your adult life gets cancer you do anything to preserve your marriage. The bolts are probably an issue only because we know there are standing feet options now without the bolts. It sounds like this still may be a good start for us if we remove the bolts. We’d love to get your feedback as to whether we sell or keep this one. After seeing some of the pictures on this forum we know there are premium options out there if we send the money. I think we went this route because its new to us and I’ll admit it feels a little funny to us right now. This seemed like a safe investment in case it didn’t work for us. But right now she’s sitting all wrapped up in the box she came in doing nothing. To the person that has this same doll. Can you confirm that the bolts can be removed for sure? For what its worth my wife really liked this doll and did pick her out of the ones they had for sale. Thanks again. This feels like a really good place to learn and grow.
I have 2 dolls with bolts and had before 2 other dolls with bolts. They always wear those ankle socks so i do not constant ruin stockings or other socks. My other doll has hard feet and hands, that is a better option. Does the bolts look charming not really but with those socks I dont see them and since they wear shoes a lot it does not bother me that much. For me the dolls are display objects so we dress them op in outfits make pictures and change them again. Sometimes my wife and me make special shoots like with Christmas . I have never tried to take the bolts out and would not do it. You ll see after a while you get used to it and with your next doll you know better. In that case order your doll through @dollface and she will take care that you get exactly that what you want.
So I’ll try to clarify what we have. There are three studs that protrude out from the bottom of the feet. They look like long hex shaped studs and I’m guessing they have threads on the inside to accept a bolt from a stand. If I remove the studs I’m not sure what will be left in the foot. It could be a hole or it could be a threaded plate deeper in the foot TPE. I haven’t unpacked the doll to know for sure in case we sell her. I know J.T said they have this doll so hopefully you can shed some light on this for us. If these can be removed and it leaves a hole we can just fill with TPE paste correct? If its a threaded base then we’ll have to cover that somehow. Otherwise the doll can’t wear shoes because the studs stick out too far. Hope this helps with our dilemma
The bolts can be removed and there will be holes in the silicone. the foot plate inside the foot has threaded holes. I’m not sure I would fill the holes as you might want to reinstall the bolts at some point. We have always stored our dolls standing and bolts will work fine in shoes. You can adjust them in and out.
I think you made exactly the right choice for your first doll!
You will make mistakes. She will get a little damage here and there but this is good practice for the time you are ready for an upgraded model.
I would definitely keep her and if you want to remove the bolts, go ahead. It can be safely done. Just don’t throw away the bolts. Pack them in her shipping box. If the day comes when you want to sell her, the bolts can be put back.
You are starting in the place most begin with dolls. It is a little odd. You did not imagine buying a doll but here she is! NOW WHAT!!!
When we opened that first doll box, we were shocked. It took time to believe she was actually in our home. Our first was a WM 157B. We called her Summer. We soon decided we had room for 4 dolls. But we didn’t stop there. At one point we had more than 25.
What we loved most about dolls was it became a hobby for us to share and enjoy. Buying them clothes. Dressing them up. Taking photos. So much fun for us.

The bolts have different settings so you screw them more in and the doll has no problem with shoes. My dolls wear sneakers high heels and boots all the time as you can see on the picture the ones on the outside El and Dee both have bolts. Really the only minus is the stockings get ruined for the rest everything is just fine. Shame to sell such a nice doll for such a minor inconvenience.
Going to a doll meeting means you find out how normal people with dolls are. And believe me you learn so much about dolls because you see so many different kind of dolls and you learn so much about posing them maintaining them it is a new world that will open up for you
They are actually the heads of threaded bolts themselves. M6 to be precise (metric, 6mm). The heels have longer bolts (varies, from ~1.0-1.25 inch), and the 2 in front are shorter (0.5-0.75"). The bolts screw into the foot plates, which have threaded holes.
It is easy to take them out (assuming you have the proper size hex tool). It’s a bit less easy to put them back in, but certainly possible.
If you take them completely out, then yes, it leaves a hole. Which you could fill. I think you’re better off keeping them though, because it gives you more options. And even left in, they can be worked around.
You mentioned them sticking out too far to wear shoes. This is often done by the factory, on purpose. Having them protruding protects the soft TPE from damage in shipping. The intent is NOT to leave them like that! After you get them, you screw them in farther. If you screw them down to the level where they are flush, you can certainly put shoes on them.
If you’re never going to stand it on the feet, you could screw them down even further, so they disappear into the foot. Then you won’t feel them unless you’re looking for them. I would not recommend going deeper than about 1/4" inset on the front two. That’s because the foot isn’t as thick there, and you could get too close to coming out the other side. (Or just being able to feel it from the top.)
For standing, it’s best to adjust their depth to be level with the bottoms of the feet. And then put on some socks or footies, to protect nylons, tights, or other delicate items that they will easily destroy.
Being able to stand a doll against a wall, or in a corner, can be a very handy way to “store” it. Especially if you wind up getting a 2nd doll later. So even if you’re not planning NOW to stand it, it’s worth keeping in mind for the future.
[NB: And as J.T. mentioned… “We recommend a large ‘car wash’ type sponge sit between ‘Kendall’ and the wall. This ensures she doesn’t transfer any oils to your wall, and prevents any denting from prolonged leaning against a wall.” That’s an excellent tip.]
Another thing you could do, if posing for photography with shoes on, is to get longer bolts and screw them THRU the bottom of the shoes. That not only keeps the shoes from falling off, but also gives you a chance at standing with shoes on (WITH a 3rd support). Otherwise, anything with a heel of any kind will twist right out. Tennis shoes, flats, sandals, and (some) boots don’t have this problem, so there’s no need for it.

So interesting that we both started out with the same doll.
I can tell you that from my experience, your Kendall is a great entry level doll.
It sounds like you plan to have your Kendall mainly laying in a bed. This is not a problem for your doll. The composition of the body, and the structure of the buttocks will not flatten or compress over time. I will say that Kendall did ‘bleed’ a bit of oils from her skin during her first few weeks. This is normal and as long as you expect this and are prepared for potential transfer in the early days, you should be fine.
As for the other doll features, her body composition is not quite a true TPE doll, but is more of a proprietary blend that is unique to this brand. It has lasted well over time (over 4 years so far) and has withstood stains, damage, bends, breaks, or even missing fingernails. I will say that Kendall has greater firmness of her body (and her breasts) than other dolls. When I compare her my other TPE and Silicone dolls, the firmness of her body is too much for me today.
I like her face and I have been able to touch up her makeup with eyeshadow and a small stiff makeup brush.
If you are still on the fence, and have not fully taken her out of the box and made her a part of your life, for fear of buyer’s remorse, you will have an easier time selling her ‘virgin’.
That being said, I was only able to better understand my needs and desires for my true companion doll until I have had the opportunity to be with our first doll over a period of a few months. It was only after the true experience of being with a doll that I fully appreciated the varying aspects and features that other dolls offer.
For example, I found the immediate clean up of a full sized doll to be awkward. I am in good shape and have no lifting or back problems, but I did find that I like having my dolls with a removable vagina to permit easy and efficient clean up. Some other doll owners do not like removables, so it is really up to the owner. Additionally, I found Kendall’s breasts too firm and once I felt the silicone, TPE, or gel filled breasts, it was a game changer.
The other thing i will mention is this. I made mistakes with my first doll. We all do, Sometimes we move them wrong, or put too much pressure somewhere, or more likely, will put a nice outfit on and stain the doll. I have even dropped and knocked over Kendall during the early days. It was kinda like having that beater car when you first start driving.
Once you learn the skills, and how to handle the curves, then you can look for that Lambo you want.
