This is a review of the 168D silicone doll from the FS-Series of dolls and 2 of the heads for the same series from FunWest Dolls. In the spirit of openness FunWest has sent this doll to me gratis for the purpose of writing this review and taking some pictures for Social Media. The opinions in this review are my own. The wig used in all of the photographs in this review is an after-market wig purchased from Amazon for under £25gbp and modified by me to fit the head tightly.

Packaging.
There are many examples of the packaging used by FunWest to transport their dolls, so I will not expand this review with photos of boxes, foam, and fluffy blankets. Suffice to say the doll shipped in a sturdy cardboard box, reinforced with wooden plates. The internal packaging consisted of foam padding, foam blocks for the shoulders, individual wrappings for hands and feet, and the heads were separately wrapped with plastic covers over the faces. Everything was wrapped in the usual fluffy blanket for further protection.
The Skeleton and Body.
Let’s start with the Body. I am told by FunWest that the skeleton is the same as the EVO skeleton used in the upgraded TPE / STPE dolls. In the FS-Series it features all the usual joints plus articulated fingers as standard. All the joints are pleasantly stiff without being overly difficult to move allowing the doll to hold many poses and positions.
The neck has a double front-to-back joint and a single side-to-side joint allowing a huge range of motion, add in a ball joint head connector and the flexibility of the head and neck is more than enough to satisfy even the most particular of doll posers. Threaded and Quick Connectors are also included.
Shoulders shrug (a selectable option), move front-to-back, and rotate as expected. With silicone being a less elastic material than TPE the movement range must be artificially limited to avoid damage. Whilst the skeleton is certainly capable of more, the care booklet states reasonable limits of 45’ rear and 120’ forward at the shoulder which is plenty for dressing and posing. The arms can also be extended out to the side by up to 120’ (according to the booklet). The forearms can be twisted side-to-side at the elbow and bend almost completely back on themselves. This range of motion in the arms allows for very natural posing of the doll in a huge variety of positions.
The articulated fingers in the hand are backed up with a wrist that can rotate, flex 90’ “up/down” and also has a side-to-side movement allowing for extremely natural hand placement for poses or holding objects. The finger joints have enough stiffness to maintain finger positions without needing any unnecessary force to move them. The wrist is stiff enough to allow for light objects to be held. As with all dolls it is best to flex the wrist before attempting to rotate the wrist joint.
The torso has a mid spine joint with front/back, left/right, and twist motions allowing the doll to be put in various positions. The joint is stiff enough to securely hold the torso position during movement of the doll.
The hips have front/back, and sideways movement, allowing for a range of positions to be attained. The stiffness of the joints allow the doll to stand, sit, kneel, or hold the legs up unsupported if the doll is lying down.
The knees are jointed to allow approximately 145’ of bend, possibly a little more, however the silicone around the joint is the limiting factor. The doll is not quite able to sit on its own heels, but an adequate kneeling position can be created.
The ankle joint mechanically stops with the foot at 90’ to the shin to aid in support when standing, and can be bent back approximately 90’ to point the toes and allow kneeling. The ankles also rotate left and right a small amount. The foot itself is a solid footplate into which the usual 3 standing bolts are connected (if that option is selected)
The FS-Series of Dolls are silicone dolls which means there is a foam core inside the body, over which a silicone skin is poured. In the past this has usually been a light but very stiff PU foam which often gave a very firm feel to silicone dolls. FunWest appear to have done something a little different.
I can only review the 168D I was sent, but I am told that the FS-Series share the same construction, and the foam core appears to be something softer than PU foam. The 168D has a firmness about the thicker parts of the body such as the thighs and torso that feels very “real”. Thinner parts like the arms are notably softer due to having a smaller core, or no core at all. This gives the body a real feeling of solidity without it ever feeling hard. If you like to be the “Big Spoon” in bed, you’ll love the way this body feels in front of you.
The overall body sculpt is beautifully feminine. Subtle details like a lower abdominal bulge where the uterus would be, Venus dimples on the back, pelvic bumps, collar bones, and gentle musculature all add up to mimic a slim healthy figure. The details do not stop there on the 168D body, however.
The torso of the 168D is covered in skin textures, which are further enhanced with body painting and, on mine, freckles (a cost option), there are also veins under the skin. These skin textures extend across the entire body of the doll. The body detail painting and veins are a standard feature on all FS-Series dolls. I should note here that the 168D is the most detailed of the FS-Series doll at this time, with the other dolls having less skin texturing across the body.
The breasts are beautifully sculpted, proportionate to the overall figure, and filled with some of the softest gel I’ve experienced. They are a joy to hold and squeeze (and nuzzle…and stuff…)
