We’re the SEDOLL Creative Team – the artists and designers behind the upcoming Silicone Elf Series!
Our small but passionate team handles everything from sculpting and faceup design to styling and photography.
While we’ve got big plans for this fantasy collection, we know the best ideas often come from you – the collectors and enthusiasts who truly love these creations.
That’s why we’re opening up our process and inviting your input every step of the way!
Got thoughts on…
• Elf ear shapes and proportions?
• Fantasy eye colors or makeup styles?
• Hair textures and colors that would make these dolls pop?
We want to hear them all! Your suggestions could directly influence our final designs.
This thread will be our development diary – expect regular updates, behind-the-scenes peeks, and plenty of opportunities to weigh in. Let’s create something magical together!
First question for you all:
If you could add one must-have fantasy feature to an elf doll, what would it be? (Movable eyelids?Articulated ears?)
Thank you for these suggestions; they are definitely worth practicing. Perhaps in the future, we will have something unique compared to others. Just to mention, the elf Samantha we released this time comes with ROS.
Perhaps every established brand goes through this phase—a moment of uncertainty about the future.
Which direction should we take? What style resonates most with collectors? Should we pursue realism or fantasy?
We spent a long time wrestling with these questions.
In the end, we realized something important: we needed to stay true to our roots while listening to the community.
Back in 2019, SEDOLL launched the TPE Elf Series, which received overwhelming love. It became iconic—so much so that when people thought of SEDOLL, they pictured elves.
Even years later, these dolls remain some of our bestsellers.
That’s why we decided to reimagine the Elf Series in silicone, introducing the ROS (Reborn of Spirit) line.
Since 2024, we’ve been refining the design—sculpting, tweaking, and sometimes starting over.
Five major revisions later, we finally arrived at the version you’ll see today.
Elves, fairies, sprites and wood nymphs! Even the names spark our imaginations and create a playground for photos and stories.
My first elf was predictable. I limited myself to what others would think she should be. Especially at first. She had a few costumes and a great story. After the story was told, I was left wanting more.
I have made my second elf into a fairy.
I have fashioned her that way, complete with wings!
Her hair color is pure fantasy (purples, blues and white).
Her eyes are too realistic so I am deciding on a new color and shape now.
I want everything about her to be ‘over-the-top’ fantasy.
She will benefit from my growth.
Fantasy should be all about illusion. Extremes. Options.
Your wildest dreams come true.
Multicolored wigs. Intense eye colors you will not find in real life.
Multiple choices for makeup details…design highlights, sparkles, etc. would be nice and give the buyers a more unique, custom face.
Moveable eyelids are a great idea for creating expressions. That would get my vote for sure.
And the sculpt should also reflect an unrealistic shape. Tiny waist. Big hips and a full bust.
We have been talking about a silicone SE Doll. This could be the answer!
I appreciate all your efforts. I think it was a wise decision to expand this line. After all, there is enough reality all around us each day.
**Agreed Wise decision for sure if done correctly. The realistic/hyper realistic doll market is absolutely flooded and it is easy to get lost in the sea of competition. The fantasy/anime/hentai options are severely limited, especially in silicone, but the demand could be very high; look at the huge cosplay scene on social media, millions and millions of fans worldwide, elves/fantasy characters are popular in all regions/markets.
Of course there are other items which must be addressed to maximize success, these include but are not limited to:
Overall quality of the product
Softness of the silicone
Proper placement of the vagina and anus for sexual usability (see my example photo in my first post). Poor LHP is the main reason I do not currently own an SE doll, despite the Samantha elf being a long time favorite head.
Inteligent love hole design to minimize risk of tearing (I can help you with this SE, let’s talk)**
Bigger ears, downward pointing ears (or articulated like you said), and I don’t know what king of silicone pigmenting you can do but blue or purple would be really cool
Really make those ears stick out so we can see them past the wigs
I’ve seen your TPE elves in the past and thought them to be quite beautiful, including the examples posted in this thread. I personally like silicone for the advantages of the material and am likely to stick with that when I get another fullsized elf. Releasing these will make you a contender when the time comes!
The face and body aren’t your biggest concerns. No matter the different options it will always come down to each person’s individual preference and what they consider to be beautiful. If the heads are compatible with your existing body options then you’re going to appeal to plenty of people already.
The biggest thing in making an elf an elf is the ears. They definitely need to be big enough to stick out, like LGJ said. But don’t go too big so they end up droopy! Pointy and proud is the way to go! Articulation is an interesting idea, but it may cause problems. Arachne’s ears are pure silicone so they’re very flexible. I don’t need to worry about them hitting things. She regularly lays with her head on its side and her ear is safe beneath her head. If there was something, likely metal, inside her ear to allow it to move and hold a position then there is a lot more to go wrong. It’s a great idea and something I’ve considered doing when modifying mini dolls, but I’m not sure it’s something I’d get on a full sized doll due to increased risks.
Second most important would be skin color. While an elf can have any normal human skin tone there are a lot of other options out there in existing fantasy settings, such as the beautiful Tyrande Whisperwind that LGJ posted. If you already offer custom colored dolls then that’s something to market with dolls like these. Blues and purples seem to be the most common from what I’ve seen.
I have seen some manufacturers advertising poseable eyelids. If it was done well it’s definitely something I’d consider in my next doll. Poseable jaws are also a must have for me. Arachne’s moveable jaw can change her expression to a surprising degree and it has definitely made some photos better!
I’m not sure I’m allowed to post photos from another manufacturer in your forum so I’ll refrain from doing that, but feel free to check out Arachne’s threads in my signature if you’d like to see my current elven perfection!
Thank you so much for your thoughtful and creative feedback! I absolutely agree with your vision for elf dolls – the more we push the limits of imagination, the more exciting it becomes!
We’re excited to continue growing this line and turning these wild dreams into reality.
You make an excellent point! This is exactly what we’re thinking — bringing a fresh wave of charm to elves/fantasy dolls.
Thank you also for your kind reminder. LHP has indeed been one of our biggest challenges. I’m very curious about your Intelligent Love Hole idea, haha! Let’s talk more about it.
Thank you for your sharing! It’s definitely a cool idea, I also love the idea of larger ears. We could even add some ear decorations for an extra touch.
Blue represents tranquility, green symbolizes vitality, and red is all about fiery passion.
I wonder what it feels like to get a whip from her? (Drooling)
The silicone version of our elf dolls will be released soon, but they still don’t have names! We would love your help in naming them. Here are some options:
Keep the same names as the TPE versions—Samantha—for all three dolls.
Give them all new names, and distinguish the three different makeup styles with A, B, and C, as we’ve done in the past.
Assign three different names to each doll. We have some names already collected: Aryana, Aeloria, Celestina, and Selandriel. Could you help us match these names to the dolls or suggest new ones?
We are excited to hear your suggestions! Perhaps the name you come up with will be the one they will carry.
The name for the elf doll have been chosen – Aryana! Different makeup versions will be distinguished by suffixes A, B, and C. Thank you all for your votes!
