Far, far behind the scenes…

Whoa! That’s fantastic! ![]()
Doing a shoot takes me hours. How did you move so fast?!? ![]()
Believe me, I was knackered afterwards!! ![]()
That was amazing algaeholics !!!
I had forgotten all about this shoot. So glad you brought it to us here.
It’s good for everyone to know just how much effort goes into a single project.
Well done ![]()
Bravo, now that’s dedication. ![]()
Awesome! Wow! Nice job capturing it all! Well done!
I’d love to see the walls in the stairwell…Carrying dolls with black shoes up and down stairs…Let’s just say my walls look like Japanese calligraphy…Lol! I’ve done a couple of composites like this. Sure wish I captured them this way…
Cheers AH! Lol!
Haha, That’s excellent @Andyman65
I should have thought of that long ago.
It would be much easier to just let the girls take care of all the work!

Yeah…Until all the TPE fingerprints show up on the camera lens…Lets just say: Dolls are dont have the most precautionary minds…
Nice @Andyman65
Was wondering if @GeminiX has showed how he does his images?
Are these projections in the background…This is what I did with Roxxanne back in 2016 or so…I posted the top view diagram of how it was done back then. I used a DVD Projector with a texture and flowing design loop. I could just pause it where I liked it. Did quite a few of images this way…
Creating images with a RealDoll has its own set of challenges… Todays dolls that stand and hold poses are so much better to work with on poses like this…
They are real backgrounds, here are the actual pictures I use to create one image. I take three snaps and choose the desired lighting from each and edit out my stand this way.
Great Idea with the projector, I don’t have enough room for it though. Might be fun to place them into movie scenes or something that way.
Wow! Amazing! Thanks for sharing @GeminiX
What a cool thread, so cool to see how everyone is working on these shoots. I don’t really have many shots from behind the scenes and most of them get deleted. But I see I should keep them for future posts here now.
Thanks for sharing guys, Its really interesting to see this side of shoots. I really should get into the lighting game I see, you guys are such pros ![]()
I love that rail/support thingie you have Leatherman. Such a clever device!
For my pic in this months scale doll photo challenge i have Harper stood on the coffee table and i used “checkerboard lighting”. Basically the highlights and shadows alternate from one side to the other. I had 1 black and 1 white sheet as a backdrop with a light behind to illuminate the white. Harper is lit from 1 side with a molus g200 with barndoors and a grid to stop the light spreading. Also the curtains were shut for the final pic
You lost me after ‘Coffee table’… ![]()
These incredible setups and fancy equipment show me why I’ve never been able to take a good picture - thank you for making me feel a little better!
