Maria is the 5th and last of my girls. Sadly she arrived after christmas and new year on January 8th 2024 due to the ultra fast working customs in Poland (sarcasm off). Petras voyage home took only 10 days with Korean Air via Frankfurt.
After having seen some of the really nice newer realistic heads with movable jaws at the Munich Mini Meet mentioned in Petras intro I wanted a doll with that type of head too. Yet silicon/tpe dolls are too heavy for me and have other backdraws like maintenance, coldness etc. that I don’t like, I thought I try out a Happy Doll with a silicon head. Happy Dolls have a M16 head connector
so they can use any M16-compatible head which is probably the majority of heads on the market.
After looking around for a while for a head I like I saw the Zelex GE94_2 head. She looks like the prototype of a Brasilian beauty to me. And I also wanted to try out the tan Happy Doll which has (sadly) not been shown on TDF to my knowledge before I made Marias thread there. I didn’t think the “tan” would be thaaaat tan, actually would be better named ebony or brown, otherwise I would have choosen another more matching head/color. But it is as it is and I love my Maria today the way she is. I also find that ebony skin tone very sexy and don’t mind the color mismatch too much.
Now I love to have a doll that has more options regarding facial expressions than my plush dolls for making photos such as the following where Maria looks surprised at her new “friend”.
Marias head is pretty heavy though, it puts nearly 3Kg (6.6lbs) on the scale.
And that is nearly too heavy for the Happy Dolls gooseneck. Not a problem in bed but a problem when posing for shootings. Also being a Zelex she has a M16 “quick connector” which tends to pop off the neck in the wrong moments, for example when you turn her around to take her doggy style.
So my advice is, if you want to get a hybrid doll like this, look for a head with a real M16 connector and one that is not thaaat heavy. Opposed to that Petras foam head is only ~1Kg and not a problem. I wonder anyway why Marias head has to be that heavy, should be possible to save at least 1Kg on those heads using a foam core or something.
Against the head pop off problem I wrapped silicon tape around the connector that is usually used to make tube connections waterproof and it holds a bit better now.
Another problem was the wig which kept falling off. Not really a new problem. I bought silicon wig bands for her like I already did for Petra and Roxi. Now she wears such a wig band which sticks pretty good on her silicon head, a wig cap on top and on that the wig. Sits really firm now.
Here she’s presenting the wig band.
And an example of Petras head with the wig band.
Despite being the same doll Maria and Petra have some small differences. Obviously Happy Doll has multiple not identical moulds for their dolls. The most important difference is the shoe size. Petra has 24cm feet = shoe size 38 (Chinese/Euro) and Maria has 22.5cm feet = shoe size 35/36. So better wait when buying shoes until you have the doll (unless its something casual like slippers.
A problem with the heavy head (3Kg vs. 11Kg body) is that she is a tad top heavy and tends to easily tilt over. So always need to make sure she has a good stand and leans firmly or holds onto something and even then it’s dangerous. Another problem is that her legs tend to slide easily over the tile floor when she wears pumps. I bought some rubber sheet to glue under her pumps. Now she holds a lot better her leg positions on that floor.
But now a few more pics from her shootings …
She also got a nighty like Petra for when she is on duty …
Happy Dolls have an awesome realistic body, for a foam doll. They are pure artwork.
I also got her silikon nipples from Etsy and glued them on with Sil-Poxy.
She also got a nice designer evening gown which was meant for christmas but since she wasn’t here she decided to wear it now after her first “shift”.
What is better than a Happy Doll butt?
Two Happy Doll butts!
Why does she always wear high heels?
Like written in the beginning her standing height is ~172cm. The reason is that Happy Dolls have a foot plate which is connected at an angle to her legs. That angle is fixed. The angle is suitable for shoes with like ~6-7cm high heels (~2.2") making her that much taller.
In order to give her most support for her feet possible I let them wear shoes with high heels when standing. And usually when they are off duty they are standing to avoid damage to the foam material similar to how you have to store/keep silicon/tpe dolls.
Here’s a current shot of the girls with Maria and Petra chatting in background about clothes and how to handle humans and stuff.
