Wow, incredible shots!
Yeah man.. How the hell did you get that last shot? Incredible!
thank you,agent0013 and quillurion, and Billiam for the kind words, and for the hint Í had to use two lines, you might figure ìt out now ![]()
Nope. You’re a doll posing wizard. My conclusion is these are real women that you instruct to pose “stiffly” so they appear more like dolls ![]()
Here’s my train of thought: You just posted that she has very stiff ankles, knees, and hips so I assume there is nothing holding her up, she’s doing that herself. If I recall, awhile ago you mentioned that you have an older phone and that you don’t edit your photos, you rely on the lower resolution of that phone to hide your lines. It does an amazing job of that because I downloaded the photo and looked at it hard. I think I might have found an anomaly in the bark of the big tree that might be a line. Only after I traced the red line from the tree did I notice that it matched up with a crease in her snow pants that could be caused by a line digging in. It’s lower down than I would have done because it means a lot of extra strain from her upper body leaned over above it, but there’s two lines.
The second line I can only guess at. I thought the circled branch on the tree looked like a good second anchor point because it’s good and thick and the line can’t slip lower. My other guess is that the second line goes behind her because it stands to reason she needs to be held back from sliding down the hill. Where the line attaches is well hidden. Around her neck, up under her chin? Around her underbust or stomach, there’s a few wrinkles there that could hide it. Or under her right armpit where we can’t see the clothing bunched up. I don’t think it’s clamped on to her clothing because there’s no obvious tension in the clothes caused by it holding her weight.
Let’s assume I’m right and look at the logistics. Your dolls are all larger and I wouldn’t be surprised to hear she’s 100lbs. naked. With all of her gear I’d guess 120lbs. to 140lbs. The low amount of disturbance to the snow is impressive (and I thought that on some of the other ones too). I have to assume that is your footprints to place her there. But where did you come from? From up the hill! I know you’re stronger than me, but I hope you were able to slide her along. lol.
But then how did you run the lines and attach them? If one of the lines is behind her then you could have attached it to a tree before you came down the hill with her. There’s no marks in the snow suggesting she was set down in the snow while you arranged this. I do see some marks in the snow in her shadow and what might be a foot print in the snow on the far side of the board by her leading foot. Perhaps you attached the line to the tree and then threw something down which landed in the snow so it would be there for you and the footprint is you leaning to grab it.
Again assuming I’m right, not only am I going to applaud the pose, staging, and resulting photo, I’m also going to applaud the forethought that went into setting it all up. You walked behind her to hide those foot prints. If I’m right about the big tree you walked up and around far enough to hide those footprints and the rest are hidden behind the tree. You also walked around to take the photo or leaped from the disturbed snow in front of her.
Conclusion: Bravo.
agent0013, good guess, you are very close
one from the tree ìn the back and a line from the tree limb from that big tree on the right
Incredible. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone put that level of effort into a doll shoot before.
SJA92, thank you for the kind words, Í always try to find something different, one-time Í took her rock climbing and the photos just look really bad. 6 hrs ìn the rubbish ben

Johnmagicnl, thank you for your kind words
Impressive, most impressive!
These photos leave me speechless. As doll owners we can all appreciate the effort it takes to dress ( in my case undress
) pose and the list goes on. But you Sir, take this to another level! ![]()
Well done! ![]()
