I realize the last time I posted here I dropped a bomb like “we have something big coming” and then I went AWOL. I couldn’t even begin to imagine just how BIG things were going to get!!!
First off, after about a year of comparing manufacturers and deciding on allll the little touches, we ordered our first ever silicone doll, an Irontech 159T EBONY! But this was no regular order.. we were on a MAJOR time crunch!!! We were trying to get her delivered before the east coast Halloween doll meet!! We were lucky enough to have the best vendor in the world (looking at you dollface!) who emphasized the importance of timing and prioritizing this doll.. and the manufacturer was more than accommodating.. even with A WEEK LONG CHINESE HOLIDAY IN THE MIDDLE OF BUILDING OUR GIRL!! 
When we finally got tracking info, the delivery date was THE DAY OF THE MEET!! I was more than overwhelmed by this.. even though we only had a 3.5 hour drive to get to the house.. I DID NOT want her delivered that day! I had ordered my doll to have no top lashes and no nails because I wanted to do them myself. So I did have some work to do upon her arrival.. well, I tried my hand at manifestation and I’m here to tell you, it works!!! Not only did my delivery date change to the day before, but I did manage to get her all made up for the meet! We had ordered two heads and that meant two sets of lashes to install.. I was dreading it but total it took me about 6 hours (with some breaks in there) to glue on lashes and nails and I even painted the nails.. fingers and toes! It was worth every bit of work! We asked for some very specific details on our Ebony doll. We sent example photos of the palms and soles on a woman of color. They are usually much lighter than the rest of their body and Irontech did an amazing job with this request! It’s the main thing that makes an ebony doll look 100% real. Unfortunately, right after the meet we had to leave again for a work trip and we have not gotten to spend a lot of time with our beautiful ebony queens!! WE CANNOT WAIT TO GET BACK HOME AND SHOW SIMONE AND OPHELIA OFF!!! So here is your little taste of chocolate for now….

ALSO, remember that manifestation technique I mentioned..?! Well here’s why I’m so convinced that it works…!! There was going to be TWO doll giveaways at the meet! An ElsaBabe and an SE Silicone Pro and deep down, I really was interested in the SE.. I loved her face and instantly thought, “Her name is Mia.” I started saying every day “I love showing off my SE doll!” I mean over and over everyday leading up to the meet.. even when I was there I said it.. that’s how it works, you speak as if it already is a thing. I didn’t own an SE Doll so, I just kept saying it anyway. Well, we won Mia! I knew the moment I got that ticket too.. my number for the first big drawing was “035” and then for the second drawing it was “053”. The same number but switched and I just knew she was mine!! Mr Lime jumped a jump of joy as I told him “you’re welcome” with a smirk. I knew Mia was meant for me the moment I saw her and I’m glad she came home with me!! I may have turned her a bit to the darkside with a more gothic look than she came home with and I fall more and more in love with her everyday! ALSO ALSO — While at the meet, we fell victim to the Smartdoll life… YES WE LEFT WITH YET ANOTHER DOLL!!! The great baldy had some cuties up for sale and we couldn’t leave Sofie behind once we saw her! We are still new to this exciting new smartdoll world and I just know we are in for lots of fun and maaaaybe empty wallets! 
“Fi” might be small but she packs a lot of spunky personality and we cannot wait to see how much joy she brings to our lives! I’m sure she isn’t going to be the only 1/3 around here for long!!!
All in all, life has been real good here at House Lime!! We’ve got our hands full now!!!
