One evening after the Katana incident Mariko and me sat together and had a long long talk. I asked if she knew what happened and what was up. She nedded and seemed a little distressed. Haltingly she started to tell what she remembered and what she experienced. It was a quite wild story and I was listening intently.

She told me from her life in ancient Japan where she was a female Samurai, a Onna musha, and fought in numerous battles together with Tomoe Gozen. She talked vividly about her life, about her family and the beauty of the land of the gods. The fleeting beauty of cherry blossoms, the honors of her service and all the good things she had done for her liege lord. And then she became quiet and about her last day. It was summer and a battle was raging when she was separated from her comrades and got captured. Tears welled up on her face about the shame and as she had fought bravely she asked for a honorable death and got that wish granted. The only thing she remembered from that moment was the scent of jasmine and then nothing.

She collapsed in my arms and I held her tight. She opened her eyes and looked into mine. Then she told me that the next she remembered was waking up in this strange box rumbling and hollering around. When the box opened she was in a world with so many marvels and wonders to see and no people with swords, no warriors. She decided to start slow, see what was and started to adjust and tried to find out a lot about the world she had arrived in. Japanese culture as she knew was only a thing of books and tales from the past and she found out a lot about anime and modern japanese culture.

We both agreed that she will tell me more about her past life and about Japan as she knew it and I would try to tell her how this world now works. A real challenge for both of us. And then she told me that her name Mariko 茉莉子 meant child of jasmine, what a bittersweet coincidence.

Mariko is beside Natalia the only girl that has at least an attempt of a background story. It suddenly knew it when we both were cuddled up after one of those stressful days at work. A story just for her.

Hi poppy I’m interested in buying a silicone piper Ariel but worried about the silicone tearing.

Have you had any issues like this?

Hi CB,
I don’t have any issues with tearing on Mariko, but I don’t use her that often and I am not so well endowed, so might also contribute to her good condition. She looks more sturdy than my other 3 year old piper girl and even with her I had not issues with tearing.

I didn’t even have the tearing issues others had with CST, so either I am chinese in size or I am very carful and not rough on my girls. Maybe I am not the best reference for that.

What about areas like shoulders or armpits tearing, did you get any of that?

None of that. But please keep in mind that Mariko is with me since December last year which is not so long. And Mariko has a beautiful rear - as all Piper girls have.

Phoebe is from 2020 and does not have any tearing issues besides way too soft hands and feet. Hard hands and feet were not available in the beginning.
