Thanks Adam. I had the same trouble finding clothes in the beginning, one reason I like the licensed characters, they come with the full outfit.
I have found a couple of cheap shops on Ali ex for shoes, socks, underwear and outfits that I’ve ordered from and the quality has been quite good imo for the price I paid.
Lots to be had on Etsy, prices can be high but there is some unique stuff out there. One word of warning, if there is something you like and the seller is in China, try find the same item on Ali ex. I nearly bought a wig on Etsy, found exactly the same one on Ali ex much cheaper.
Japanese auction sites/on line flea markets such as Yahoo Japan Auctions, Mecari. These can’t be used by people outside of Japan, you will need to sign up with a proxy service to access them. I use Buyee, they display prices in your local currency. They take delivery of anything you buy and will hold the item for 30 days, which means you can keep shopping and bundle it all up into one package for shipping. Another great Japanese website is Mandarake, a stand alone site that sells second hand stuff. There isn’t a lot of official Smart Doll stuff on these sites but still a few independent sellers of clothes to be found, mostly on Buyee. Both sites have a lot of Dollfie Dream stuff which has cost me dearly over the last 12 months
Those are my most common haunts when searching for 1/3 stuff.
She is an early Dollfie Dream released in 2005. She is the prototype version, her body lacks ball joints and is held together with elastic cord which makes her impossible to pose. I did get her a ball jointed body when one came up on the used market but not had the time to take any more snaps of her.
Aw gorgeous. I have the same problem with my 2 bjd girls. Joints just spring back when i try to pose them. Thinking of using the hot glue trick when i get enough time to take them apart.
