Custom makeup XY Doll “Misa” head.

I will add few pictures later on, after doll arrives.
My struggle was not to customize the doll, but rather bring her to the as per product picture.
It is either something with the light in the room where they take factory pictures, or smartphone, or makeup or all together.
The 1st doll face was slightly yellow blush. Compared to the body. I argued that face can not be more pale or yellow. They went to repaint the face. This time shifted to the red too much. 3rd time I asked to bring it back to match to the body. I suggested that blush can be just more saturated color than the silicone, maybe just tiny shift to the red on cheeks, not to yellow.
3rd time doll looks much better. They shoot her twice for me, smartphone and office mix of fluorescent lights left no chance to see colors. But she look ok. I decided to stop suffering for doll and workshop. Hope she will be allright.
I found it difficult to remotely control customization process.

We had the JS Coco head and ours was not as impressive as your Coco!

I dont have the money for experimentation though😭 what if the makeup artist cant replicate the makeup seen in the photos? Its a possibility that makes me hesitant because even sometimes, they cannot replicate the as seen in photos makeup too😭

Actually doing makeup on TPE girls isn’t all that difficult to DIY, @Mishka has several very informative videos on the process. I’ve been doing Honey’s, Seneca’s and the other TPE gals here for a long time. With some practice you can get some nice looks.

There was no guess work here.
I sent 3 examples. One for each head.
As the heads were ready for makeup, they walked me thru it step by step.
One head at a time.
I could say, more eyeliner, darker lips, etc.
Their patience was unending.
I would do this again without hesitation.

@DollCommander reminded me about this thread. I’ve never asked for custom makeup (but I want to one day … Princess Aura 
from Flash Gordon 1980.) Naomie was inspired by photos though, so indirectly I have asked for custom makeup. This was the photo SM Doll originally shared me, when they wanted me to confirm I was happy:
I wasn’t happy. I said “you’ve got the eyebrows way too high” - amazing how a little detail can make such a difference. They corrected her for my Naomie (who I think looks even better than Fatima Diame):
SM doll got her face so perfect. Lips, emplanted eyebrows. And the custom skin tone they made for her was superb (black dolls can look a bit alien if the mixture isn’t well thought out … not a problem if you want an alien.)
I’ve had a lot of custom skin tone dolls, but have always left it to the manufacturer to do the makeup. Seeing what @dollface is doing, I really think next time I should go crazy
