I have a 148 Peach D I call “Sundown”. She’s been great except I have never been able to secure her head as thoroughly as my other dolls. It might be as simple as me not using the proper technique. Any advice? The connector looks kind-of-like an M16 but has cut outs in the screw thread channel.
Hmm…not familiar with that brand but maybe pics? I’m wondering since you mentioned cut outs in the thread channel, maybe like interrupted threads perhaps?
Yes, it’s M16-like version. I cannot seem to libe up the head properly to get a ghood connection.
Thanks so much, dollface!
It has been a while since I’ve used a Tayu head connector but I don’t remember it being vastly different that my other M16 connector heads. I did cut off that little groove to be able to fit the Coeros style connector, AND didn’t want the neck to move with the head in order to minimize the strain on the head.
If you’re talking about something else don’t hesitate to provide some pictures. ![]()
Thanks for the unput, JD! I’ve discovered the issue is with the M16. The original owner had made some adjuystments that were keeping it from snapping into place. Thanks again!
Not a problem!
Glad to know you’ve figured it out! ![]()
Thanks to everyone in the doll community for helping me ger Peach’s (nee Sundown) head back on. Coeros is even sending a bracket that will allow me to, upon occasion, attach peach’s head to a standard, stiff-jointed body (she’s naturally loose-jointed). Peach is so excited about the world of possibilities! Just check this video: https://youtu.be/XuPkuZkWY_E
video is private…?
Fixed!
CUTE! Amazing how believable AI animations are now!
