Dealing with the cold

Good advice! Pulling the plug only takes a second.

As someone who sleeps better cold and despises the heat (ironic i live in a desert) as long as my girl isn’t ice cold im good. Although im struggling to find a good heating method that is more reliable then the blanket. Even bundling her up with the electric blanket for x+ hour on high heat seems to only warm up her thinner extremities. Im thought about making a blanket with water tubing so the high thermal mass of water can defuse the heat better.

I’ve noticed that too. The blanket doesn’t do the best job here either.

I’ve actually gone and ordered a few jumpsuits for my girls to wear in bed when the weather’s this cold, so they’re not that chilly to the touch. :grimacing:

Hooray. The jumpsuits arrived and the girls are snugly wrapped up. Just got them ‘covered’ hahaha. They feel so much better already. Pictures of the dragon and the rabbit later.

Even in winter, my TPE dolls are super warm and snuggly.

Here is Storm with an illustration. Soft plush towel beneath her, soft plush towel above her (also prevents abrasion from movement of the duvet). I cuddle her through the plush towels, so she’s like a plush doll with the weight of a skinny TPE lady (only 28kg), and it’s perfect. I’m so happy sleeping naked with her (I love sleeping naked, feels like freedom, pyjamas always seem to get bunched up somewhere.)

Also, she is in my small bedroom/office, the only room I maintain at around 18 degrees celsius. For the rest of the house, I have one electric oil filled radiator in the living room set to 12 degrees celsius and it keeps the house from getting too chilly.

I love standard TPE, because it seems to absorb my body heat really fast. Feels like I’m cuddling a warm bodied human in no time at all. Very nice :hugs:

PS Think I maybe overspent on the electric oil filled radiator (£200), I thought I’d need something beefy but it never seems to be on (it runs in eco mode). And my gas central heating is currently broken (I had a gas leak into the house and didn’t want to spend £1000 or more to repair it, since I use so little gas, that I asked for it to be capped.)

De’Longhi Dragon-4 2.5kW Oil Filled Radiator

In my small bedroom/office I have a tiny little oil filled radiator and a fan heater (with a thermostat to maintain temperature.) The little oil filled radiator mostly keeps the room warm, with the fan heater only coming on to top up the heat if needed.

Ermagerd, Storm looks always gorgeous. :star_struck:

And towels! Now that’s a great idea. I also sleep naked, pyjamas are terrible inventions. I’ll have a look at such towels. The jumpsuits are amazingly cute but with two of them, left and right, the bed gets very hot very quickly, which doesn’t help with sleeping well.

Thanks for the idea. :+1:
