EL Doll 138cm unboxing and review

So, I’ve been looking for another doll yet again. A 43kg doll with a dump truck ass is nice and all, but it’s kind of tiring to move. I was looking for something less than 30kg, see if it’s easier to move around, and something around 140cm since it’s hard to find a taller doll with anything even vaguely resembling the body type I want.

I looked at a number of dolls - had a spreadsheet of something like 20 of 'em - and finally settled on the EL Doll 138. Unfortunately, dollface isn’t able to work with EL Doll, so I had to go elsewhere.

Of note is that I ordered an “in-stock” doll - she was pretty close to what I wanted, and the price was right. :stuck_out_tongue:

Options:

What options? It’s an in-stock doll. This is what she came with though:

  • tan skin tone
  • fixed vagina
  • standing feet
  • TPE

The only pictures of her were “factory pictures” - I’ve tossed one of them below:

(golly, i wonder where i got this doll from )

Note the one thing that’s not mentioned, the “enhanced skeleton.” It’s interesting to note how much of a difference this makes, but I’ll cover that later.

Also note that I don’t necessarily consider this a “flaw” - it is what it is, and for a doll under $900 shipped, you can’t expect too much.

The doll took about 5 days to arrive from a warehouse in California. Box was in better condition than usual - presumably they either pack or repack at the warehouse:

I dragged the box inside and opened it up. Looks pretty good!

The accessory pack was pretty barebones compared to what I’m used to, but EL Doll is something of a “budget” brand so I wasn’t expecting a whole lot. Comb, wig, simple manual, heater, some gloves, and… the pink thing is a garment bag I guess? Now that I look at the picture, maybe there was a basic outfit in there. Not like I used it or anything.

Okay, time to unpack.
All wrapped up, on the blanket (front and back,) and finally, completely bare with the head unpacked:

It’s interesting to note that the blanket seems to be a much lower quality than other brands. It’s an off white or light cream color, and it shed bits of fuzz all over the place.

Now, for pictures of the fun bits:

I realize that I didn’t get a picture of the back hole, but it’s basically a bare hole - no texture at all. The vulva is pretty nicely detailed though.

Next step, put the head on:

Interesting note, some sort of packing material inside the neck screw hole? Not sure why, it’s not like it’s exposed. The stock wig isn’t super amazing (very thin, damn thing shed all over the place too,) but I actually rather like the face.

Okay, so one last set of pictures - when I hung her up to powder her, I took some profile shots and a little video.

Now for some narrative.

Overall Impressions

So, I definitely like how the body feels. The TPE is soft - not super squishy soft, but also not hard. I guess that if I had to describe it, I’d say it’s pretty standard based on the other TPE dolls I have.

I haven’t slept with her yet, but the height doesn’t seem too bad to me. One of the (theoretical) worries I’ve had with a smaller doll is the height, but the thicker body type (81cm hips - not bad for the height) means that it feels less weird when looking at her.

Love Holes

I’m never super picky about LHP - in fact, I realize as I’m typing this that I forgot to actually get a doggy style picture to show off LHP - one moment.

Pardon the dust (or powder,) I literally pulled her down from the shower to take these pics - I was planning to do that after writing the review.

LHP seems rather low, really. It actually works well for me, but if one were a fan of doggy style, I’m pretty sure this would be difficult to deal with.

Also notable is that the vagina actually has a “random” texture, or at least it’s not just a plain ridged hole. Also, see the ass, as mentioned above - barely any texture at all, just a hole with a standard ridged texture.

Related to LHP, did you notice her bellybutton in the earlier pics? How it seems really deep? Turns out the TPE ball inside her is a little leaky (discovered during cleaning,) but both holes join there at the bellybutton. So it should actually be a fairly simple matter to patch up, since I can reach both sides of it. Still a quality issue, but at least the design makes it easy to fix.

Breasts

They’re not super gel-filled, but at least they’re even - both breasts are consistently soft-ish, and there’s no super obvious difference between the two. Notice no boob hang in doggy from the above pics, but they still feel nice enough.

Skeleton

So, this doll came with a standard skeleton. Not a whole lot of range of motion. plain wired fingers, etc., and I didn’t notice when ordering that the skeleton wasn’t an EVO skeleton. Oops.

I’m actually somewhat surprised at how much I’ve relied on the EVO (or other “improved”) skeleton’s range of motion, but the LHP oddly makes the positions I can get her into work pretty well for me. With that said, I don’t think I’ll be getting a non-EVO skeleton again.

I will, however, probably be getting wired fingers with all future dolls. I don’t really do photos, so there aren’t many advantages to the articulated fingers for me. I’ll probably just end up pulling the wires out, in fact - worked well for my previous dolls with wired fingers.

Weight

On paper, she’s 28kg. With her head, on the scale, she’s 29kg. Pretty accurate!

Comparing a 29kg doll to a 43kg doll, it’s a huge difference. Obviously the difference is 14kg, but also there’s just the handling difference. For example, a 29kg doll, I can move with one arm. 43kg? Only if I want to tear a muscle. 29kg can be held in front of me without a bearhug for movement down the hallway, 43kg needs the bearhug if I’m not just doing the bridal carry.

Given the joint issues with my heavy doll, I wonder if another disadvantage of the heavier dolls is that the joints may not be designed to carry the extra weight? I’ll have to examine that more closely on my next doll.

I don’t necessarily regret getting the heavier doll or anything, but this one’s certainly easier to handle.

Final Thoughts

I don’t think I’ve ever had a doll that I immediately disliked - this is #5 for me (not counting the replacement body,) but I have found flaws with all of them after closer examination. As usual, I’ll do a retrospective here after I’ve had her for a month or so.

I will, however, reiterate how much the non-EVO skeleton annoys me. Brings me back to my first doll. I know how to deal with it better now, at least, but still, I can already tell it’s going to be limiting even before sleeping with her. I don’t think it’s going to be a dealbreaker or anything, but it’s definitely something I’ll be watching for in the future.

One Month Later

So, after having her for a month, it’s time to give my less immediate impressions.

Size/Height

The size ended up being something of a downside for me. Not necessarily from an appearance standpoint (she's fairly well-proportioned compared to a real human of a similar size) but it's awkward sleeping with her. And to be clear, I mean literally sleeping.

Nothing really lines up for comfort - either her knees are in my junk for a comfortable face to face sleeping position, her butt’s on my stomach for a little spoon that gives me easy access to boobs, or I need to stretch to reach them if the butt’s lined up in the right spot.

Weight

The weight worked out. I like my heavier doll, and actually switched back to her for bedtime, but a lighter doll is significantly easier to move around. I'll definitely look for another doll in the 30kg range or so, just taller.

LHP

Okay, okay, fine, I've said I'm not that picky about LHP, but this one is abysmal. Usable, but way too difficult. I said it, are you happy?

Skeleton

Going back to a standard skeleton after having EVO skeletons on all my dolls except for my first one was a wake-up call. I'm never going back to a standard skeleton again - the gooseneck is just creaky and weird, the joints are stiff and don't move the way I'm used to, and the overall shape of it just feels awkward.

Overall Quality

I'm not that fussed considering that she was a budget doll, but there's definitely a noticeable difference in quality. The big thing, as mentioned in the review, is that the love holes weren't correctly sealed.

I sorted this by making up some TPE glue - 3M Primer 94 and a good chunk of the leg off an old doll, mixed up in a jar and allowed to melt. It remains to be seen if it fully seals it off, but it dried pretty quickly overall. Hopefully it doesn’t give me dick cancer or something.

Another point to mention is that the body is harder than I’m used to from my 6YE, my Doll4Ever, and hell, even my janky-ass Normon I gave away. It basically takes me back to my first doll I bought from eBay. The one thing I’ll note is that the breasts are much better quality, though they’re still harder overall than any of my other dolls.

Final Notes

Keep in mind that a LOT of the issues I mentioned above are more an indictment of the "in stock" style than EL doll as a brand (at least, until I try a custom order and end up with the same problems. :stuck_out_tongue:)

The in-stock and (presumably) semi mass produced body had problems that’d be dealbreakers if I were reading this review for the first time - the unsealed love holes, the standard skeleton, and the stiff TPE.

EL Doll does appear to offer some options - silicone heads and the EVO skeleton - and if they also take more care when making a custom build vs. an in stock doll, the skeleton alone could bring this from “meh” to a passable and fairly low-budget doll.

:beers:
