Lt. Hadleigh: “Congratulations on your commission and engineering designation, Sis.”
Ens. Harper: “Congratulations on your promotion to Lieutenant, ma’am!”
Lt. Hadleigh: “Thanks, Harper, but when we’re alone can we please keep it informal?”
Ens. Harper: “Sure thing, girlfriend. I can’t wait to get my 11 missions in and score that nifty “Saturn” off world insignia!”
Lt. Hadleigh: "It won’t take long if you stick with me- I go off world a lot…
Ens. Harper: “Wow, this thing is lighter than it looks.”
Lt. Hadleigh: “Treat it with respect… on the high power setting it’ll reduce a 5,000lb teufelpenis berserker into a 4-oz strip of beef jerky.”
Ens. Harper: “Damn! That thing is huge!”
Lt. Hadleigh: “Should you ever encounter one off-world, do not hesitate to go full power and fire before it gets within 100 paces, otherwise your name will end up on that foyer plaque back at HQ.”
Lt. Hadleigh: “The single carry, sidelong stance you’re using is good with the low power setting for exchanges with humanoids and similar opponents.”
Ens. Harper: “It’s quite comfortable, so shall I give that teufel, umm, thing a taste of it?”
Lt. Hadleigh: “Check your backdrop, sight in, and give 'em a single burst.”
Ens. Harper: “WTF!?” That blast barely left the barrel!"
Lt. Hadleigh: “You’re still in charging mode- that’s only good for heating up our instant rations. Keep your weapon pointed downrange, covering the target, and switch up to low power.”
Ens. Harper: “Got it, here we go…”
Ens. Harper: “Holy schnikees! All that did was piss it off and now it’s bouncing toward us spittin’ and screamin’!”
Lt. Hadleigh: “Yep, that woulda vaporized a humanoid, but most these big alien monsters are resilient. I’m going to full power and I’ll demonstrate the proper isosceles, dual grip firing stance.”
Ens. Harper: “I think I’ll wait for the next target to try full power in that position.”
Lt. Hadleigh: "Sure thing, kiddo, but do pay attention. It’s the best one for a full power blast.
Lt. Hadleigh: “Okay, now we relax slightly for safety, ready to recover the target, and decide whether to deliver another blast.”
Ens. Harper: “Wow! I thought it was gonna smash us… but that thing just vaporized in an instant.”
Lt. Hadleigh: “Yeah, the UB69 is a pretty handy weapon… but always remember that we’re intelligence operatives. Leave the big combat to fleet. Our #1 priority is to gather information and return home to Space Kitten Command and Rock13 both alive and unhurt. Besides, most of our missions only require us to use the “weaponry” that we were born with.”
