Hey all! I’m in the market for a new doll and my attention has once again landed on Piper dolls. I had fantastic Jessica and Phoebe TPE dolls during the pandemic, some of the best dolls I’ve ever owned, virtually indestructible, and truly amazing presence, so I know just how much these girls can bring into your world.
Ariel has long been the “one that got away” for me - I’ve always wanted her, but I’ve been distracted or discouraged one too many times! Now seems to be the time to finally make that dream come true.
My questions, for you true Piper Doll experts out there, are as follows:
What’s up with Piper’s silicone these days? It seems like the early problems have largely been dealt with and Piper dolls are at least average in terms of durability. For me, sex is super important and I’ve had dolls tear on first use, even though I’m at least a little careful. I could not live with that, especially for my Ariel.
Are there any key differences between the Ariel 150 and the Ariel 140, other than height? I’m wondering are the love holes on the 140 potentially more fragile than the 150, due to the size of the doll or the age/design of the mold? Do they both offer articulated fingers?
Should I just get an S-TPE model and be done with it, or is the extra realism and advantages of silicone well worth the durability concerns and the loss of oral capabilities?

I just went through this when deciding which Ariel to order for myself. All the iterations of Ariel look great but i ended up going with the 150 silicone. She arrives tomorrow so I can’t give you a first hand review yet so i won’t comment on 1. (hoping for the best) but I’ll try to share a bit on your other two questions.
From the vendor I used only listed articulated fingers as an option for the 150 silicone but I didn’t ask them or anything so it could be an option for the others. Can’t really say on the love holes I know the measurements are the same. The body has different dimensions between the 140 and 150. 140 has 33 inch hips and a smaller but still large breasts while 150 has 37 inch hips and larger breasts. Both attractive was a tough choice.
Only you can say what’s best for you but for me as good as the stpe Ariel looks the silicone one just looks even better. For me in a doll looks is very important and since I have heard great things about the feel of both Piper silicone and stpe that is what it came down to. After seeing my factory photos I’m really pleased with this decision so far. If you want you can see those photos on a thread I have in the Piper section. Ariel is one of the GOAT models in the doll world imo An absolute masterpiece I don’t think you can go wrong with the 140 or 150. The 140 (in silicone) is a newer sculpt by a few years. Personally I prefer the 150 to the 140, the 140 silicone has a very exagerrated hourglass shape and smaller breasts, that was supposed to be a lower weight version if I remember correctly.
Articulated fingers should be availible on the 140 in silicone.
We have 3 Piper Ariels at home.
A 140cm TPE, a 150cm Silicone, and a 100cm TPE S.A.F.
Here is what I have found.
140cm TPE
The face on the 140cm model is a little different than the 150cm models. The nose is a little smaller and more upturned. She does look a little younger than her taller sister.
For my 140cm, she has the removable vagina, so I have had no issues there and this option I have grown to love. Her anus in TPE is still more or less ‘intact’ (no major tearing) even with ‘normal’ use.
The 140cm TPE model does have the oral option and that can be utilized with no risk of damage or tears.
The TPE is just over 3 years old, and is still in remarkably good shape.
150cm Silicone
My model has the firm hands and feet, and there are some visible lines from the different pours.
No oral option here. My 150cm has the fixed vagina and anal option. Both present small tears from normal use. These are not significant tears, but what I would classify as normal Silicone ‘breaking in’.
My silicone 150cm Ariel had some paint issues from the factory.
On the great side, her silicone breasts are Ah-Maze-Zing!
Her facial make up is wonderful and will remain untouched for the foreseeable future.
Finding suitable clothes for the 150cm is easier than the 140cm version.
110cm TPE S.A.F.
Contrary to the 140cm TPE mentioned at the start, this model has some considerable tearing and damage in the vagina / anus area, but this is because of the design and not so much because of the TPE. Having 2 holes so close together on such a small frame was a bad design choice.
For my final piece of advice is if use as a sexual partner is a priority, I would seriously examine the options for the removable vagina. This is my OPINION only. Others may have other thoughts. For me, here is my rationalization for the removable option.
Tearing of the vaginal opening would not be a concern and this fear would not interfere with your activities.
Post clean-up activities are much easier and quicker, ensuring continued good maintenance.
Increased options for different experiences. The design differences in the removable Piper sleeves is definitely noticeable. Pick the sensation you want each time.
Best of luck with your decisions, but rest easy knowing you have a gorgeous doll ready to enter your life. And perhaps this may be the FIRST Ariel you bring into your home.
I know I will have others join me in the years ahead. Ariel is my girl.

I have the 140 STPE and being seemless, oral is one of the best features! I decided that since I wanted STPE going small shaves weight and she is perfect w the largest insert because the STPE is soft and stretchy.
Did you ever own an older Piper doll, pre-stpe? Id be interested in knowing how the STPE compares to the older platinum tpe, which was the best doll sex i think I’ve ever had…
I’m busy sourcing a STPE Ariel. I decided to give the new material a whirl, mostly because i think I’d miss oral functionality and from what I can find the STPE remains pretty low maintenance. If I was actively taking photos still, i might go in another direction…
Maybe the silicone version is a purchase for future me to make.

Pipers are great but they aren’t made with electric hips and other advanced features like automatic blow job.
