Help me fix my sweetheart’s shoulder!

It appears I somehow got Connor’s shoulder joint out of whack, and now his arm won’t lay down by his side. Every time I push it down, it springs back up. Anyone know how to fix this?

Sorry I don’t know how to fix. I would suggest reaching out on TDF. There are some very good doll repairers over there. People like @RevJack

I can only think that something has got jammed in the cogs (I think most dolls use cogs in their skeleton these days). Perhaps if you just keep moving it, whatever has got jammed will unjam it self.

Thanks for the reply! Fortunately, I did end up figuring it out myself about 24 hours after posting this. The problem was that the shoulder joint had gotten rotated 90º such that it would only move forwards and backwards rather than up and down like it’s supposed to go. I fixed it by extending his arm out into a “T-pose,” bending it forward, then pushing it back down by his side.

I really wish manufacturers would include a proper diagram of the skeleton with each doll purchase so that we know what’s going on in there.
