Hey yall… I recently got a 1/6 scale tbleague doll… well the body. Which is a “plus size” model S38… she’s kinda thick… and not just her bust but her thighs too. I bought the body without a head because of course I’m picky af and I was being super selective with how my girl looked. Well… I ended up ordering a YM Toys head. Upon arrival… I felt like the head was too small for the body… as well as being slightly off on skin tone… I’m a perfectionist so I just chalked up my loss and put the doll down for a month or two or maybe three now… haha! Today I decided to try the head on the body again… I think I’ve actually got it on right this time (I don’t think it was pushed down far enough before)… and I’m thinking it looks a little better now. I just wondered if I could get some honest opinions on this… is this a norma fit? Does it look okay? Is the slight skin difference that noticeable?? ![]()

I have had my eye on another head but I do still love the look of this one too. Idk… any input and/or advice would be greatly appreciated! Pictures for reference… I thought the dog one was funny! ![]()
Hahahaha! That bottom photo is priceless, limedoll!
I don’t know much about phicen but she looks very good to me ![]()
Ya know Dees… I think so too! I think I was just being a little dramatic… and still being new to the little world… I just didn’t know! Even with videos, it’s so different in person! Can’t wait to get started! Does your sweetie also make clothes to fit this kind of doll? I’d love their Etsy info if there is a shop? Thanks! ![]()
Unfortunately my girl doesn’t make 1/6 clothes and she is only doing commissions because Etsy was taking too much $ so she closed her shop, she is focusing on 1/4 dolls now, long story buy she is mad at Danny Choo ![]()
She’s beautiful, LD! You’ll find that there’s typically a small difference between the head sculpt color and body color and it can be changed by lighting or powder level on the skin. It’s just a part of mini life! It bugged me for awhile but I just ignore it now. At least you didn’t make the same mistake I did with my first mini, I bought a tan head and a pale body! ![]()
When looking for clothing for her make sure you get something that is meant for that body or another of the thicker ones. If you get something for one of the mid or slim bodies you’ll never get it on!
I remember you saying some time ago that you were thinking about a mini. Glad to see you did! They can be just as fun as the big dolls without all the physical labour! ![]()
Thanks agent! I was hoping you’d weigh in on this too! I thought the skin tone was a normal thing and something I’d have to get used to! The size of the head still seems a wee bit small to me… the pictures I posted here actually look normal and the head size isn’t as noticeable… I also wonder if the head size thing is due to her large breasts… maybe I’ll just go with it though! I’ve waited long enough!! Now, to learn to sew…
Yeah, it might be a little small. It looks good in the first two photos but I can see it in the second two but it’s not that bad. About the only way to guarantee a match is to buy a set, or know all the bodies well enough that you can tell what body the promo photos are on and base your body selection on that (I can’t do that). The best solution is to buy another body that’s smaller for your current head and another larger head for your current body! You might think you only want one mini, but that’s not how this works!
We all end up with a horde of them! I’m up to 8 active 1/6 and I have 6 more heads awaiting bodies.
If you want to make clothes, trim is the easy way to go. Glissa is trim, a bit of chain, and some jump rings.
Trenii’s outfit was even simpler and is literally two loops of trim (the skirt isn’t elastic so I used a tiny button to close it. The skirt was originally made for Glissa before I did her armor and it just fits around the thiccer body).
Veyronna was my first attempt at making actual clothing and I’ve made posts on TDF about this process. It was not easy!
All really excellent work Agent! I hope to discover some hidden talents or something… gotta lot of work ahead of me! I knew I’d end up with more than one! Haha I think I’ll work with what I’ve got for now and then work it all out later on… (head size wise) thanks for all your help!!
Late to the party but I gotta say… hell yeah! So happy you got you a mini I know you been wanting one ![]()
I googled the skeleton for those things… you could probably give her a slight slouch that would narrow the shoulders and compensate for the very slight head thingy
Hi Limedoll.
Let me start with , She looks amazing!
I have a few phicens and I understand what your talking about.
The head, feet and hands are a REALLY tight fit and require an uncomfortable
amount of force to remove and attach. I’m glad you got the head on fully.
With the variety of body size available now, and the fact that some of the heads are a little smaller than others, especially custom sculpts. The head to body size and colour match may not be 100%. I think that the body you have is one of the larger bodies that they make.
even though, I think your’s looks to be a pretty good match up!
One thing I found that if a head that’s a little small for a body, has a lot of hair, that does help make the head appear a little bigger.
Hey guys! Im back again with a question… do 1/6 tbleague phicen dolls have different size feet options? I swear, Dru’s feet look a little too large to me. I also recently bought an outfit that came with heels and it was supposed to fit her… I got the outfit on her (because it was a stretchy material but still kinda hard to work with cuz I know she’s a bit thicker than the average 1/6 doll) but the shoes did not fit at all! Even when I switched to the “arched” foot. Just wondering if I can buy feet of a smaller size and it still be okay? Thanks for your help! ![]()
Welcome to Phicen hell! Yes, there are different sized feet. I only realized this myself a few months ago. There are large and small, the large being longer.
The large is also wider.
Then, once you have that figured out, there are also different peg sizes that can appear in either size of foot! These are both small feet.
You will also discover that there are large and small pegs for the wrists and necks too. And, the undetachable feet apparently have two sizes as well, although I don’t have as much knowledge there as I prefer the detachable feet for posing.
Worst of all, there seems to be no labeling on products that you buy that tell you what size they are for. Sometimes when you buy an outfit they will tell you what body it is tailored for and you may have luck on similar bodies as well.
You can sometimes get lucky and buy feet, but Phicen / TBleague don’t offer them separately which is a shame. Sometimes you can find parted out sets on doll websites or ebay and get the feet separately but when I have seen them they tend to be surprisingly pricy. Aftermarket options do exist if you can find them but apparently they have a habit of becoming loose over time because they tend to lack the ankle joint that the Phicen have; the white plastic cup that the ankle peg clips into.
I just received these aftermarket feet last week but haven’t tried them yet. They are large peg, small size.
Awesome help, agent! I knew I could rely on you for some expert advice!! Looks like I’ll be ordering some feet!!
