I sincerely hope that everyone can give Piper some suggestions

Hi friends! I started this topic today because there are many problems that have been bothering me for a long time and I don’t know how to solve them, so I want to hear your opinions!
The first is about the softness of the silicone material. As you may all know, soft silicon has always been my pursuit. I always believe that besides vision, touch is the most important experience for dolls, so I am very interested in dolls. I have always been very obsessed with softness, but this has also caused a lot of trouble for me and our customers, because the softer things need to be treated with more care We often have a lot of after-sales problems due to the softness of the material. For example, our silicone is easy to pick out fingerprints, resulting in many small dents on the doll.

After the epidemic, I also visited many factories in the same industry and observed their dolls. But to be honest, I didn’t see any that were softer than Piper. Most of them were on the harder side. I also asked my colleagues. , “Don’t your customers think the doll is too hard?” Their answer was “No, no customer has reported it.” So I started to wonder, is my insistence wrong? So I want to know what everyone thinks about Piper. What are your thoughts on silicon materials?

Second question, many doll manufacturers are now pursuing realistic details, such as simulated hands, skin texture, ultra-realistic lower body and anus… In fact, we can do all of these, but we have not adopted them because we consider whether the style is suitable. Piper’s question, but it seems a lot of customers really like these realistic details, so would like to hear your opinions, should we adopt this type of technology as well?

The third question is, I have been hoping to give customers better, more practical gifts or gifts that people will really like for a long time. I wonder if you have any suggestions for gifts that the dolls should have? Also, do you have any suggestions for the style of the wig? , because I also want to update the official wig.

Finally, I hope you can give me more opinions. What improvements would you like to see on Piper? Whether it’s styling or any details, please tell me so that I can provide better dolls to my friends who support me! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

Hi Mizuwali,

I am very glad that you maintain a presence on this forum, your work is very much appreciated and Piper/Irokebijin has many fans. I am also glad that you started this thread and are open regarding the cons of extreme softness and to feedback on your products. I was actually just thinking about Piper yesterday and had some questions of my own, but will answer yours below. I save the first question for last since it is the most complicated to answer.

Question two: Please no! The draw of Piper/Irokebijin is their anime/hentai style aesthetics. Personally I have no interest in dolls that look like the hundreds of average girls I see everyday in real life. I saw some new Irokebijin products today on Celesdolls and was disappointed to see added detail on these products. It does not fit with Piper/Irokebijin’s brand identity in my opinion. The market is flooded with “want to be” hyper realistic dolls, so much so that none really stand out. Piper/Irokebijin stands out in regards to anime/hentai style aesthetics and are the best in the industry in regards to super feminine, shapely breast sculpts. Please do not deviate from this formula, at least not on Piper/Irokebijin branded products. Also, please continue to offer all of your classic models indefinitely. Ariel is a masterpiece, Jessica is pure sex, Akira is the perfect sweet beauty. Personally, I want these models to be availible far into the future, with performance improvements (reduced likelyhood of tearing etc.) being the only changes.

Question three: I like the hooded Piper blanket, it is super cute. Jessica’s wig makes the character, please keep this availible (both versions).

Question four: Personally I would like to see…

  • More anime/hentai style dolls, possibly licensed versions of actual anime/hentai/video game/e girl characters.

  • Ariel’s head on Jessica’s K cup body in TPE.

  • Custom skin tones for the silicone models.

  • Oral capability on the silicone models, but only without extreme tearing.

Question one: On the forums I have seen many complaints of excessively hard/firm silicone dolls. Softness is important for a silicone doll that will be used for sex. A doll that is too firm will not be enjoyable or possibly not even useable for sex. Piper has long been regarded as one of the softest silicone brands in the industry but there have also been many reports of tearing, even with minimal and reasonable use. Silicone tearing is the one thing that keeps me from buying a silicone Piper/Irokebijin. There has to be a balance between softness and durability. One way to achieve this is through the blending of the silicone, the other is through design of the openings/entrances/tunnels/cavities. Openings/entrances must be sized appropriately to survive sexual use, especially in silicone. Silicone openings/entrances must be much larger and purpose designed for silicone dolls. All efforts should be made to eliminate hard angles which create stress risers. This is what I would do if I was designing a silicone doll…

  • Make the opening/entrances and tunnels/cavities significantly larger than those found on TPE dolls to compensate for silicone’s lack of elasticity. The opening/entrance sizing is critical because this is where tearing will occur. An example of what not to do

  • Make the openings/entrances elliptical in shape (like a cat’s eye) which will allow the user to adjust tightness by opening or closing the legs and reduce tension on the material with legs spread. This is a TPE doll, but the opening/entrance is well sized and intelligently designed.

  • Create the mold/cavity insert with rounded edges at the openings/entrances to reduce stress risers, reducing the likelyhood of tearing.

I don’t own a Piper Doll but I love looking at them.
My advice is - don’t try to be everything.
Anyone who buys a Piper, buys it for what it is.
Nobody will ever sell a Honda Civic to someone who is shopping for a pickup truck.
Sure, soft silicone is great, but don’t make it so soft that its a problem. Just make it a great product. Maybe a different manufacturer makes it slightly softer, but that manufacturer has a different style that the customer prefers, and vice-versa.
The best thing, in my highly unqualified opinion - yet from the perspective of an average doll customer - is to own the lane you’re in, be the best you can be in that lane, and try not to wander too much, or you’ll lose your way.

I agree with @BeardyBoy and @DollCommander above. People love Piper Dolls because they are Piper Dolls :hugs:.

I have 2 silicone - Akira 160G and Jessica 150K. And they are fantastic dolls. Incredible works of art. Incredible sculpts. And super soft and cuddly, with wonderful breasts. Definitely externally the softest of everything that I’ve experienced.

I’ve been tempted to buy another silicone Piper Doll, but one thing that holds me back is concerns about fragility of the vagina and anus. If I was going to spend £2500 to £3000 on another silicone doll, I’d probably get another Sanhui, because it’s very well engineered in the vagina and anus area. After a good two years of use, my Sanhui’s bits are still perfectly intact (soft vagina and tight anus) - the inside of the soft vagina has worn down a bit though (a new Sanhui with soft vagina is an incredible experience, very real).

The below is a photo I took at the start of the year, when I was comparing my Sanhui’s perfectly intact holes - after 2 years - with a silicone SM Doll that ripped badly on first use (SM Doll agreed to make a remould of the silicone body which they have now done, just waiting for replacement body.) SM Doll also have very soft silicone.

Random photo from this morning of my Sanhui with Piper Akira, a WM, and Piper Ariel (TPE.)

Finding the right balance between silicone softness vs durability vs weight must be challenging. I also think you have come to the right place to ask these questions because there are many passionate doll owners here that have and have had many doll brands.

1: When does a doll become so soft that she is too easy to tear or dent? That is a tough question to answer. For many of us here that have multiple dolls, and know how to handle them, we probably can handle pretty soft silicone. For a first time buyer though, that might be more of an issue. I also think thickness of the silicone layer to the inner core has something to do with denting.

Some owners that only have dolls for photography might prefer harder silicone, but they are definitely in the minority. So while other manufacturers have told you that hardness wasn’t an issue, I think they are wrong. I have dolls for both photography and companionship, and the two dolls that are hard silicone I wish they were softer for sure. If I wasn’t into doll photography I would have been very disappointing with those two brands.

2: Piper Dolls have gathered a huge following for their unique designs. I say why change something that isn’t broken? You have updated the love holes that were an issue in the past and that was a very good thing. I think if you want to introduce realism, like skin textures and veins, why not continue to do so with the D4E silicone series? Like the D4E 160 silicone, but more on that later.

3: As far as gifts go, apart from some outfits I don’t really know what more you could offer.

Final suggestions: One thing that bothers me is why articulated fingers are still an option? I think you should not even offer wire fingers at all and only have articulated fingers like Angel Kiss and Tayu etc do.

From our communications via Twitter I think you were the one to design the D4E 160 silicone. Unfortunately due to some miscommunication mine didn’t arrive with articulated fingers, and I like to use them for photos like this for example:

I don’t think wire fingers should be offered at all.

If you’d like to offer designs with realistic features I think it would be great to continue the line of D4E silicone series! :+1: You would have to redesign the existing love hole design like you did with Pipers, and also redesign the inner core or the way the silicone sticks to the core itself because there are issues with delamination.

With a few tweaks that model could have been perfect!

Hope this helps, and good luck with all your future endeavors. :+1:

Regards,
JD :sparkling_heart:

I only own dolls for a year now, only Pipers, and im a huge Piper fan!
So i give my answers too, hope they help!

#1 About the softness of Silicone… Maybe one option would be to have 2 levels
of silicone softness to order. One harder version, best for photo dolls, beginners,
people that want to have a more sturdy doll. And another softer version, where you tell the people its really soft, great for cuddling, sex, but also best
for advanced owners of dolls, and has to be handled with more caution.

#2 NOOOO pls. Dolls that aim for too much realism creep me out, as they never
look really realistic. I fell in love with Piper immediately, because of the little
fantasy touch Piper dolls usually have. And cause of AiO, i hate seams on the neck. Of course details can be improved, but i would love if that slight
fantasy look of Pipers never discapper.

#3 Would love to have gotten that Piper doll bath robe with my TPE dolls.
Its super cute, and also i would love to have something branded by Piper.
Or maybe give a cute piper shirt, piper basecap or piper beanie for our dolls?
Or some Piper Doll stickers, to spread the word around town!
I want to show my Piper support with something

About wigs, i like the 3 wigs i have from Piper. Quality is good, but also
i have no clue about wigs. What i would love to see tho, a greater choice of
different wigs. I know in past, there was more different Piper wigs.
Would be cool to get more options from Piper again, with new wigs
that fit piper that great, like with the older wig models.

Greets to you Mizuwali! And much love for the great dolls you create!

Greetings Mizuwali,

Sorry for the late reply, I was at our west coast doll party, and I should mention, anytime you visit the west coast of USA, please let me know!

You Piper dolls are works of art, and are wonderful dolls. My new Ariel is a masterpiece and when people see her, they all agree this is a great looking doll. I am showing a pic of her recently taken while I had her on my cross country trip. Here’s a photo I took of her while camping at a lodge in west virginia, USA

Another photo, of her here when we took photos at my parent’s house in the east coast. USA

You can see the painting on the face is really good, details like freckles, implanted hair, and all cosmetics applied by the factory. This is the level of detail I like.
I should also mention, your blanket with the ears/hoody is absolutely brilliant, really out of the box thinking, and is my favorite blanket!

This is about my Silicone Ariel, 150cm, and you were asking our opinions on softness. My take on this as like was mentioned, a few of us travel with our dolls and enjoy doll companionship, but also take photos. So I’ll give my take on what I like -

Durability:
The current blend of silicone is as soft as I would like, because I know issues like compression damage from socks/stockings, and hard objects, and also be able to to survive a fall is paramount. Too soft silicones are not good, and after a few bed sessions, I can see peoples dolls suffer from anal tearing, torn knees, feet, etc… This is what we have to tell or educate people as many of us know this from experience. Catering to a subset of people who want super jelly soft like dolls should buy another brand - once you cater to this group and their dolls break, they will only bad mouth the company, and this I feel will hurt the brand in the long run.
The current blend I have on my Ariel is perfect!
Also, there’s the hard hands which most here do not know was jsut perfected recently, and is done in a creative way to reduce the ‘step’ which you see in typical dolls with hard hands. The transition line here is tapered up the arm to eliminate the unsightly step. The neck seam is very minimal, and because mine has a harder head due to implanted hair.
My Ariel took a fall on concrete yesterday, and besides the reactions we all had, she did not suffer from a single scratch or dent. It was amazing and a testament to the build.

Sex:
Ariel appears durable, but long term durability needs time. Ill report issues I have.
It was mentioned by others here to give future dolls more wider and looser vaginas - I have seen this on MLW/JS on their 148cm recently and was blown away by the design. It’s practically perfect.

Aesthetics:
This is the signature design that I think is what people like the most. Very nice looking dolls and
I like the design!

I will continue on the next page to answer some key issues brought up

Thought I’d just add that the Piper Doll string bikinis are really fantastic. They are popular with my other dolls too. Many times I share photos of dolls wearing the Piper Doll bikini. Probably the best gift ever.

Also the Piper Doll tangle teasers. I usually bin the combs that come with other dolls. Piper Doll combs are the best.

First issue - Denting
All silicones will dent and get damaged over time. It’s unavoidable unfortunately, but the softer silicones will probably not last. Small dolls under 148 can be made softer safely, but as you get too the larger and heavier dolls, people who order these will be very surprised how heavy 40kg is, and end up being pissed and sell the doll off. The current blend on the larger dolls is fine. I would not cater to the people who want jelly soft adult 40kg dolls. Those dolls are not going to last - and that’s all companies who sell them. On the high end brands, the denting and outgassing issues of curing silicone that disguises itself as denting occurs on these. On my TAYU, there’s quite a lot of soft silicone dents, and unfortunately, will get worse the heavier and softer these dolls are. Many of us own other brands, from entry level to high end, and they are close in softness. Some are harder, but where I like the soft features - is tummy, boobs, ass!
So, I would think you are over analyzing the issue, and already have your answer. Yes, most companies’ silicone are about the same.

Second issue - Realism and adoption of current tech
This is the natural progression as talent evolves thru time, and people get good at their art, and are able to learn the tricks some companies have to make 3D skin, perfect faces etc…
I am 100% into realism, and a good aesthetic. However, as was mentioned, providing ‘pro’ level of painting can me a paid option for those who want it. I will say, 3D scans and making translucent skin via clever painting and putting in skin like details is where the industry is headed, and I want those in all my dolls. A smooth skin simple painted doll wont cut it in this business. It’s evolve or go out of business. This is what I would like to see Piper dolls have soon. ROS heads, articulated hands, soft built oral structures, teeth, man those are great to have!

Third issue - Gifts
This one is where I companies should take the time to sort out whether we need another comb, irrigator, or a $3 outfit makes sense. I would say this, have this as an option - if the customer wants a basic gift. I would personally opt out of these as I have many of these already. New customers - sure. Next, have a $25 paid option for a few outfits you already sell on the doll forever site, - cosplay outfits, stuff I would gladly get, and a higher quality wig, a few extra swivel M16 connectors etc… High quality eyeballs… Better tangle teaser comb…
You already provide the best blanket, so perhaps a few optional paid gifts.
I would also pay $25 for a mp4 video file of my doll silicone getting poured, being made by someone and then the final painting, and cosmetics. I think that’s pretty cool.

Regarding what can be improved-
Some people here have mentioned you already have a great product, so the character of PiperDoll should be distinctive, and not deviate from that. Incorporating 3D molding in the skin details (pores, 3D details on body and pubic area etc…)
Full oral ‘ROS’ heads (not sure if you already have these)
The current Ariel is absolutely right on. She’s mature, looks sexy as hell, and has a very nice body.

I 100% agree - the micro Piper bikinis are absolutely awesome!

Exactly, Piper has an established brand identity that sets them apart from all others.

This ^ :+1: :100: If Mizuwali wants to explore enhanced realism, I think it should be seperate from the main Piper/Irokebijin line; whether that be D4E branded or something like “Piper Real Series” etc.

I think most buy dolls for sex, then less for companionship and finally even less for photography exclusively. Although I don’t use dolls for sex exclusively, I would be very dissapointed if I was delivered a doll that was unuseable for sex.

These manufacturers are probably some of the same ones that think LHP doesn’t matter either…they are also wrong on that!

So good to read from you and I will gladly give some of my thoughts. Because with three silicone Piper girls I saw the evolution.

What I really like:

  • the soft silicone, it is wonderful to touch and feel
  • the sculpt, a wonderful butt, hips, and breasts
  • cute faces, they are just recognisable Piper dolls
  • the seamless neck makes the girls so much more realistic
  • articulated fingers are strong and sturdy
  • feet are big enough for women’s shoes
  • hard hands and feet are harder silicone but still soft enough
  • skeleton is one of the best I know, very well possible, right about of firm
  • make up is great, standard and also the advanced.
  • not too much body painting - on other dolls it rubs off and is not so nice anymore

Gifts:

  • the comb ist really useful and much better than the cheap wired ones
  • the hooded blanket with the press button
  • the bikini is just cute
  • the drying stick is really useful

What could be improved:

  • fingers could be just a little thicker, so they are sturdier
  • real fingernails instead of painted silicone ones, at least as an option
  • oral, not for sex, but a little deeper opening for kissing, and softer lips if possible. the new heads are harder and kissing is not so much fun.

Piper dolls have their special style and I really love them all. I don’t really have new ideas for new styles because I am afraid I have my favourites at home. Akira and Ichika. But I will watch what comes next and Piper girls are always welcome at my house.

Please keep going on with your great work, the wonderful designs and the fantastic quality.

Thank you all so much for your replies and many comments!!
Let me first answer some of the more difficult and often asked questions here.
Regarding finger skeletons, in fact, none of the doll manufacturers in China, including WM, designs one themselves, but it is not practical. In the end, they still purchase it from outside parties.
I will disclose a lot of things in the industry here. I am not sure whether this will bring me some trouble, but I want you to know the real situation. :joy:
The doll industry chain has become very fragmented in China. There are specialized suppliers for molds, eyeballs, and even skeletons to serve doll manufacturers. Most doll manufacturers no longer produce their own skeletons, let alone finger skeletons. The finger bones of dolls in China are basically produced by two suppliers.
After the epidemic, I visited one of the largest skeleton factories. I was surprised by its scale. Most of the finger skeletons used in dolls are produced and sold to doll manufacturers. Maybe I can take some photos next time I go there. to share

When the finger skeleton was first introduced, I did not adopt it immediately because many customers often bumped their fingers when moving the doll or changing the posture of the doll. If it is a copper wire finger, it may only be deformed, but if it is a hard finger skeleton, then Breakage may occur. In addition, at that time, customizing a finger skeleton of an exclusive size required a very high cost for metal parts molds, and because our usage was relatively small, the price quoted by the factory was very high.
Later, this finger skeleton factory introduced many of their standardized sizes, so most doll manufacturers would follow his finger skeleton size when designing the doll’s palms. At that time, I couldn’t enter China because of COVID, and the market had There is an information gap, so when the Piper silicone series was developed, the size of the palm did not follow the standard product of the finger skeleton factory.
This means that if I want all my girls to have finger skeletons, I don’t have to make them all custom-made, which is very expensive, so this results in some Piper girls being able to have finger skeletons installed and some not, because of the later development of the finger skeletons. For the palm size of the mold, I refer to the standards provided by the finger skeleton factory. Other doll manufacturers do the same thing.

The same is true about the movable mandible. This factory now also provides mandible kits, and many doll manufacturers buy from them. However, Piper now stiffens the head in order to meet the needs of hair transplantation and reduce the chance of facial damage. (The hair cannot be implanted without hardening the silicon), so it is a bit difficult to add the mandible. Hard silicon is not easy to stretch and is not conducive to the movement of local joints.
