Hello fellow Love Doll Network users! Some background about me, I have 1 other doll that I share heads with that I have had for 18 months now. There will be a photo to compare this wonderful Tayu doll with later, but its a SMS156A TPE model. The main focus of my purchase of a Tayu is I wanted something lighter to accompany my in bed. I probably could have achieved that goal with a less expensive doll but when CrazedCat showed off this new body and head in November 2023…it was an instant buy.
I made a purchase on November 11 2023 and chose no ultra soft butt since I expect her to be a bedroom queen. In hindsight that ended up being a major mistake. I will explain later. Also changed from that doll CrazedCat showed, I wanted soft hands and soft feet with studs. I havent really had issues with the TPE hands on my other doll so I figured I can manage soft hands here as well. Good choice so far! I never would have wanted to stand the doll with no studs on the hard standing feet so that explains the change for that.
As I stated, I made a purchase on 11-11-23 and got my first factory photos on 12-31-23, what a great boost to New Years Eve excitement!
After assessing the Factory Photos, I was concerned about the lack of anything showing the backside of the doll. I requested those and the vendor got back with those on 1-4-24.
Now thats what I needed to see! Everything looked great so I allowed the vendor to pack her up for shipping. Unfortunately, that was on a Friday so she waited until Monday morning in China to start her journey… Which really wasnt all that long because on Wednesday morning I got a notification of delivery coming. WHAT 3 days from China? Thats AMAZING.
SHE MADE IT. From order to delivery, 60 days. Shorter than expected by about 2 weeks. And she arrived in a box that didnt look too abused. A few box punctures here and there, but thanks to Tayu packaging there wasnt much damage just a small laceration to her back. Tayu has decided to use expanding spray foam for packaging and it seemed to have worked quite well. The head could not roll around, there was no room for legs to buckle, but despite the foam the neck was slightly bent and had punctured the box slightly.
Time to remove her from the box. It was at this moment I realized how petite, and LIGHT she is. I had no problem picking her up and placing her on the bench for further inspection. The first thing I did was remove the wraps around the hands. OH MY GOD. THE HANDS. I would have never expected the hands on a doll to look, feel and move so closely to lifelike. Completely blown away.
Next, the Riley head. First thing I notice is how small it is compared to my other SM heads. Oh no will my wigs fit? Then it was the eyebrows, wow the implanted eyebrows are very well done. The eyes were very easy to move, and didnt move around like some googley eyes either. Then it was noticed, the teeth were slightly off. Damn, maybe an easy fix? I also got green eyes, but those will be tried much later.
After the unbox and inspection, I was curious to see how my wardrobe for my SM would work. Most everything is XS or 30/32 A or 00 for Jeans. If you know me, I love Calvin Klein, so lets see those! The 32A bra needed to be tightened to the maximum and the cup probably wouldnt be very comfortable for a live woman… but it works. The thong also had some issues. The 158 Tayu body has a healthy rump, but then the waist and torso are exceptionally petite. The thong was mildly loose on the waist. Time for the Singer I guess.
Wigs. This topic has been a fun struggle. I have tried every wig I own, or have purchased for this doll but I cannot nail down 100% what her hair color will be going forward. So to the hairdresser we go! Here is a collection of the wigs I have tried in the last week. Feel free to comment what you think is best for my Tayu/Riley.
One thing I still cannot wrap my mind around is the breasts on this doll. I expected great, everyone says they are great from Tayu, but WOW. Perfect size for my preferences and so very squishy. But wait, THE NIPPLES. They are large, they are hard. ALWAYS EXCITED. This doll was build for fun.
So thats the experience of unboxing and the first couple days of my new Tayu 158C/Riley. I am amazed at the quality difference between my 2 dolls and I cannot wait to do more with it and share. Heres a list of things I have noticed:
-This doll is STIFF, but the knees are the loosest of all. Arms, back, thighs all stay where they are placed. The knees like to bend in slightly under gravity, but does not affect standing. Im afraid to move the wrists for fear of breaking them. I hope they loosen up some quick. The ankles are very stiff, which assists standing so I cannot wait to try some free standing soon. I have noticed the ankle is able to move the toes towards the shin, not sure if that is normal among higher end dolls but that opens free squatting since she is so light.
-The doll smelled like a Dupont factory for a couple days, but dimished quickly after a wash and power. The skin is textured and has fine detail like veins or wrinkles where expected.
-Finding clothing that fits will be extremely difficult. Bras seem to be 28C, but maybe 30B fits better. I have quality yoga pants in XXS and XS and getting them over the plush bum is like wrestling a 2yr old when putting them on. Then, once on the waist is so petite it doesnt get tight. I have resorted to folding the bands down to hide the looseness.
Thats it! After alot of back and forth I have decided to name this doll Kasia. Please welcome her to the LDN!
