Mariko and I are on vacation. Three weeks in a caravan, with a beautiful girl, a great shotgun, who does not scream at inappropriate moments and a great companion. What’s not to love.
Our first night in Sweden was somewhere in the south. A good friend recommended that spot and I must say it is beautiful. The whole day the weather was sunny and warm, just shortly before we arrived there was a downpour and lightning. But Mariko wanted to go out and have a look…
and I had to have a look too 
Really???
We will see where our journey continues. But we plan to go far far to the north…

Yesterday we crossed the arctic circle. Mariko was a bit miffed because of the long drive. We are 2600 km from home…
Phew, finally stretching out the legs. Thats good.
Now, could you explain, what‘s so special about the arctic circle? Will it start freezin, snowing or what?
No, from here on to the North the sun won‘t set any more during summer. No sunset, no night. And in winter, the sun will not rise above the horizon.
Oh, I am glad we are here in summer. I love the sun. And here we prove that we are really that far north.

Due to a mishap from me, I cannot walk that much at the moment and Mariko has to do all the exploring, I will have to keep driving.

Those truck drivers in Norway are either real pros or lunatics, or maybe both Roads not much wider than two cars side by side and they zip along with max allowed speed of 80 km/h. Sometimes so close the wind rocks my caravan and I need to maintain my equilibrium and not shout and rant loudly. What would Mariko think
