Miss Unobtainium (Ariel 140)

Howdy,

I’ve had my Ariel 140 for over 2 years now. She was a pre-owned doll. I’m not quite sure how old she is. And I call her Miss Unobtainium because the UK Government decided to ban the import of sub 148cm dolls a few years ago (not totally sure when, maybe 2020) - she’s unobtainable in the UK now, but still totally legal to own a sub 148cm doll.

I learnt about her availability from an @The-Doll-House post on UKLDF back in 2022. And it was an easy choice to buy her - I knew she wouldn’t hang around long, I already had 2 Pipers and nice to make a trinity, and she’d be well cared for - the perfect home for her. And 2 years later she’s in as good condition now as when she arrived. She did come with a few broken fingers which I’ve never ventured to fix - they are no worse now than when she arrived. She is the non-standing version.

And the reason why I’ve started a thread for her today is because she magically found her way into the Captain’s bed tonight. She says I’ve not cuddled her for a long time and she wanted a cuddle (Piper Dolls are very cuddly.)

Ariel this morning. She’s enjoying being the doll in the bed and having many cuddles (and I’m enjoying cuddling her .)

I always think dolls are simple souls and they don’t want anything other than to be loved and treated with care.

Although in the case of my dolls, who all want to be loved, Harper likes polyamory and is teaching Thea the same!
