I remember the first time I saw Shedoll. It was on a Chinese forum, right when the brand was new. Recently, Shedoll has launched a number of new upgrades for their dolls: reduced weight, increased softness, realistic texture, new joints, and much more. This made me finally make the decision to buy a Shedoll. I ordered her on October 27, 2024. The head I chose for the doll is called Rose, and she has long been one of my favorite heads. Her body is 168 centimeters tall, and she has a relatively low weight. She also has the original body softness without any softness upgrades.
When the doll was ready, I got the factory pictures that came to me on November 19, 2024. It took a few days before the shipping was arranged and the doll sent. I picked her up on January 30, 2025, at DHL’s service facility instead of home delivery.
I unpacked her carefully and recorded the unboxing process as proof if anything had happened during shipment. She had no visible damage, and there were many fun gifts in the box, such as a cleaning kit, blanket, tools, and more.
My first impression of the doll really exceeded my expectations. The skin texture was incredible, and the softness too. She really feels like a high-quality doll.

She has clear textures on her hand and detailed blood vessels painted on. She also has the latest type of wrist that allows for more realistic positions. The hand can be turned sideways, and she can easily hold objects with her fingers. The hand itself is very similar to the hand on Tayu.
The seamlines around the hard hands and feet are almost invisible. However, I am aware that the seamline can be more visible on other doll bodies from Shedoll.
The inner part of the vagina is made of a softer material than the rest of the body. I think it is softer than Tayu, but not as soft as Gynoid.
I ordered two pairs of eyes. One pair was custom made, as you can see in the factory picture, and the other pair is the standard type. The standard type has blood vessels in it that the custom-made eyes do not have. However, it may be possible to order it with blood vessels. The eyes are also very easy to adjust and replace if desired.
The oral structure (ROS) is said to be very good. However, this is not something I will try out with this beautiful head. But I have read that it is very durable.
Her breasts are very similar to Gynoid’s softness, and they are very fun to play with.
She has a slight difference between the advertised weight and when I weighed her. I may have done it wrong. My scale showed 35.7 kg without a head, and she should weigh 33 kg. I have spoken with another Shedoll user with the same body, and his doll has the same weight as advertised.
Her joints have a large range of motion. She can bend her elbow all the way and even twist her wrist without the silicone being squeezed in unnatural ways. The skeleton is stiff and equally tight everywhere. She is very easy to position despite her weight.
She is very well made, and I would definitely order her again if I had to. I do wish the doll was lighter and the packaging was more reinforced, but other than that, I am very happy. Her body paint is very detailed and seems to be durable. The breasts are really nice, and the joints have a very good range of motion. Her face is almost as soft as Tayu, and the softness of the body is just right. She has nice, hard hands and almost invisible seamlines.
