I recently went glamping with Naomie (my SM-Doll 156A-136 love doll) and honestly, it was the best holiday I’ve ever had, I will definitely be taking her glamping again.
Sat-15-Aug: The Yurt 1) Arrival
Prologue
I’d previously been on a love doll meet back in 2021, then nothing until June 2026, when I took a doll to a small meet close to Hereford. For this 2026 meet, I privately rented a maisonette, and I really enjoyed the experience of taking a doll out the house to somewhere other than home.
My thoughts about the 2021 doll meet were that it was great (and very memorable), but having many keen doll photographers in one venue, does mean everyone has to take turns in the prime photo locations. I had thought back in 2021 that it would be great to simply take a doll out the house to a private cottage in a nice location.
The idea of this trip was to do something interesting and memorable for my 50th birthday. And I have an interest in Genghis Khan, so experiencing a Mongolian Yurt has always been on my bucket list.
From Saturday 15th to Wednesday 19th, Naomie and I will stay in a Yurt, then from Wednesday 19th to Saturday 22nd, we will stay in a Tipi (staying in a Tipi was another bucket list thing). I wanted to be away for a full week but thought staying in the Yurt too long might be too much.
I have never been glamping before.
PS Naomie is a weight reduced silicone SM-Doll 156A with the 136 head in very dark brown (almost black) skin tone.
Arrival
To start the story off, here’s Naomie when we had just parked the car and got out to visit the Yurt for the first time.
Not having taken photos of dolls in the outdoors before, I was immediately taken aback that the ground was not flat (funny I had not considered this before). Something we take for granted when standing dolls indoors is a flat surface. Getting dolls to stand in the wild isn’t so easy.
