Here is a brief overview of my new Lusandy 167 with custom Belle head. This will be a work in progress.
Background
I spent over a year researching doll manufacturers and their options, asking questions to many helpful LDN members, and even getting up close views of some beautiful ladies during various U.S. west coast doll meets, hosted by Mishka and Zhen mei Doll. Also being an avid gamer, I hoped to replicate an avatar (in game person) in Second Life named Alexis, whose name sake also exists as my first (TPE) doll I’ve enjoyed for over 10 years.
In November '25, I finally chose to go with Lusandy, which I view as a top innovator in modern doll design and manufacturing. They have a consistent track record for quality and creating exceptional doll models. Also, I have a deep respect for opinions shared by our LDN community and admiration of Cubiko’s artistic influence.

SHIPPING and PACKING
The Lusandy box arrived intact and undamaged. I did not take any unboxing photos since I saw no damage plus how exciting are unboxing photos, really?
Opening the box, I was very impressed with Lusandy’s approach to packing, using form fitting foam sheathed in a gray plastic sheet material. Internally, thin wooden slates 16’ x 10’ average (40.6 cm x 25 cm) reinforced the box sides for extra protection.
The 167 body was wrapped carefully in a soft, gray blanket.
Hands and feet were wrapped in layers of plastic packing sheets.
The Belle head front was covered by a transparent plastic face mask to protect the custom make-up and implanted brows/eye lashes.
Goody bag was included that contained ordered wig, warming rod/dryer, hair brush, white cotton gloves, douche vacuum bulb, and two styles of head bolt connectors (full end to end M16 thread style, and a hybrid bolt, M16 thread to quick release type). Oh, and let’s not forget a very helpful, illustrated user guide! Nice touch.
OVERALL IMPRESSION

Here at day three, I see no cuts or outer damage. The 167 body sculpt is more perfect than I imagined with curves in all the right areas. Ideal skin color (thanks Dollfacedoll!). Insane details on the feet and articulated hands. I’m quite speechless over the custom make-up. (My spirit lifts every time I look into Artemis’ eyes.)
The head exactly mirrors what the factory artists showed me in the approval video. At present, having noticed a very small amount of oil-like staining where I placed the head on some shipping paper, I am letting the head cure/dry a bit more after light powdering with corn-starch and with a small fan blowing on the head.
28 Jan 2026 (one week after arrival)
Artemis made her way up to our bedroom over the weekend. We’ve ordered some new cloths, wigs, and accessories to help her feel at home. (She’s hinted she likes Rose Gold jewelry, sapphires, and a Bohemian style palette of colors.) She is like a dream come true.
