Gorgeous and crazy soft doll. Go buy one. The end.
…
Okay, fine… I’ll say a touch more about them. TL;DR great customer service, fast production times, softest doll I’ve ever owned (almost too soft!)
I was made aware of them from LoveDollPhotography’s fine work early on and thought they were really quite impressive for a new company. Around late fall-early winter last year I was bitten by the doll bug and wanted to try a new company so they came to mind almost immediately. I was interested in their ultra realistic doll, but wanted to take a smaller step first and simply got their 165B during a promotion. A smaller and slightly less detailed of their options, but still looked quite good.
(Still some nice detail, don’t you think?)
I’ll just try to highlight why one would want to buy their dolls over the many other companies.
The customer service is exceptional. Lisa is great and answered my questions with very little or no delay save for the time differences. I sent her a ton of emails and she worked hard to address any concerns I had. If you buy and doll from them or express interest? You will be taken care of for sure.
The doll was in production very quickly. I’d say 2-3 weeks from exchanging emails to her showing up at my doorstep. I’ve heard of other manufacturers having a backlog of months worth of orders. You won’t have that problem with Normondoll. That is… until they blow up and crank out more dolls. The only way they could be faster is if they had a warehouse in my country. (Hint, hint)
Upon arrival the doll was packaged typically with the plastic sheet and foam padding. I neglected to take pictures of this part, but I can assure you that she arrived safe and sound. There were large wedges and pieces of foam to keep her from jostling around. No corners cut here.
The thing that surprised me the most was probably the softness the doll. I honestly mistook her for TPE at first and thought there was a misunderstanding with the order. Upon further inspection I realized she was, in fact, silicone. I can’t sure for certain without a shore hardness tester, but she might be the softest doll I’ve ever owned. TPE or silicone. As a friend put it, Normon’s girls are very “squeezy.” It’s pretty awesome.
(Other head I need to take more pictures of.)
The only concern I have here is that she’s so soft I’m extra worried about damaging her. From past experiences I know super soft dolls are prone to indentations and creases. Maybe some losing of her form over time, but for now she’s good. That’s one of the reasons I wanted to wait a couple months before talking about this doll at length. I’m not entirely sure, but maybe they have a harder silicone if needed.
There’s a tradeoff between the 165cm and the 170cm. The 165 is a pretty light doll, but lacking in some of the detail I’ve seen from the 170cm. The 170cm from what I’ve seen has the pores, wrinkles, and quite of a lot of detail. However, I believe she’s (the 170cm) going to be a much more cumbersome lady. It was a pretty easy choice early on.
I haven’t been intimate with the doll yet and may not be. So my opinions on that are limited. I’m not an LHP expert, but I don’t see anything that would be a hindrance here. She is extraordinarily cuddle-able, the joints hold up for posing, and she’s lighter than a lot of dolls. At least the 165 is.
In conclusion, I’m quite happy and I think Normondoll is a great option if you’re in the market. The pricing is in line with the rest of the industry and the quality is a step above what I’ve seen from more popular manufacturers. I’m sure they will gain traction and more popularity.
Full disclosure, I haven’t been paid or compensated in any way. But I do want more quality manufacturers to exist and do well. Go get yourself a Normon if you want to try a new company and are tired of the usual suspects. I doubt this is my last girl from them.
Well? She’s waiting.
Thanks for bearing with me and my ramblings.
