There’s been a lively discussion about cleaning methods on Discord, so I’ve enhanced the poll answers and posted a new version here. I’m interested in understanding how popular various methods are among LDN users.
When it comes to cleaning a dolls cavities after use, which method do you use?
Wipe the interior with disposable cleansing wipes
Flush the cavity with soapy water, then with clean water, then insert drying rods
Use a mechanical cleaning system, like an aquarium pump
I know I am in the minority but you just can’t beat a male condom to virtually eliminate cleaning. I know many guys find it much less enjoyable but even so it’s worth it to avoid the time consuming and physically demanding cleaning process. If I want to let loose au naturel, that’s what her cleavage (both boob and booty) is for!
I have no real input here but one thing I will say is that I hate inserts. I realise their plus points but it just doesn’t work for me at all. I’d rather take the whole girl into the shower than her bits to the basin.
Most of my girls are insert girls. I have no problem with inserts and the cleanup is a snap. I do have a couple fixed girls, they see limited action due to the strenuous cleansing process!
I really needed two choices. I use mostly premium kitchen towel (Plenty) - only the best for my ladies. And usually use an aquarium pump for extra drying. No other cleaning. Very easy maintenance.
I massively dislike condoms and femidoms. Not for me at all. I very much like bareback. And I especially like my creampie-able dolls (not many that I can do that with as doll vaginas are usually too tight to explode inside.)
Mostly my dolls are fixed vaginas. A couple had inserts. I say had because I threw the inserts in the bin. My two insertless insert style ladies are actually a very good shag
Well tried as I have many times, I’m afraid condoms, male and female, are hopeless for me. Break every time, no matter now much lube I use.
I flush through with soapy water (use my Lynx shower gel) then clean water. I don’t use drying rods as I’ve not had great experience with them. I’ll dry with a soft cloth pushed up as far as I can in a room with windows open to ensure an airflow, then leave the doll with legs far apart to open up the vagina and let it dry out. Works fine for me. That’s my TPE dolls anyway.
I have silicone inserts for my Teddy Babe Deluxe and Valentina Girl.
Female condoms exclusively. My full size dolls have never even had water inside their cavities, their insides are as delivered from the factory. I find female condoms to be acceptable, especially considering how easy cleanup is and no worries of mold etc.
I needed the choice flush with water dry with aquarium pumps. I always clean with the girl standing in shower legs spread wide with shoes on. I wrap the legs with two large microfiber towels about 3 inches down from the crotch. This keeps the leg’s and shoes from getting wet. Light flushing several times using the bulb irrigator with the holes held open with my fingers to let the fluid flow out freely. Without adjusting the legs she is moved to the closet where I insert two hoses in each hole from the aquarium pumps. Two hoses in each hole insure there can’t be an airtight seal, circulation is the key to drying. I usually leave the pumps running for many hours because there is no rush.
It’s important to note that if you are going to clean your doll this way you need to inspect the holes and make sure they are completely sealed at the top. This is usually only a problem with tpe dolls.
sponge and aquarium pump. I have never used douche that comes with the dolls. The sponge is much better when you soap it and then cleaning hole with whowers hose by putting it in so it flush all soapy shite out. Lastly aquarium pump 8-12 hours done

Yeah, I agree, this needed to be more than a poll, since I use a mixture of methods.
Use paper towels to soak up any big puddles of liquid.
Use peroxide and let it soak for a bit.
Soak up/rub with paper towels and reapply peroxide if anything feels like it’s leftover
Aquarium pump until dry after towel-dry.
A couple of bits of logic to this method in my eyes:
The process uses very little liquid, which means you don’t need to carry her to the shower - aside from whatever else is in her, I use 10cc of peroxide from a syringe for cleanout.
The peroxide should break down anything in there that’s organic, which means that in theory you’re safe without getting her bone dry immediately.
The one big con is that the paper towel can rough up her vaginal canal, which is probably bad in the long term. I figure that anything other than a wash with nothing but fingers (not using any sponge/towel/etc.) is going to have a similar issue though.
Please do not do that, unless you’ve got something really low pressure. That’s how I ruined my first doll. Too much water can blow out the TPE plug and get water in the skeleton, and then your girl’s a sloshy mess.
IMHO, this is actually what the douche is for - wash with sponge/fingers/etc., rinse with douche, and then rinse a few more times. Multiple cycles of this makes sure she’s nice and clean when she gets a shower.
I mean, good on you if it’s worked for you so far - it seems like you’ve been careful and it hasn’t caused an issue - but it’s generally bad advice overall. I just wanted to toss the above out there for any new person who might be reading up on cleaning.
I think we should start to name companies that make dolls with the plugs since not all of them do this and then the pressure isn’t a problem. For example LoveNstle is one that don’t have plugs on the end of vagina or anus since they don’t manufacture lazy like those who do

I’m quite sure we’ll all have our own ideas on these but unless a full torso and head, at the very least, I can’t personally consider it as a doll. Ideally, she would have fully formed arms and legs and need them to set home here.
I’m probably way too laid back about germs and all that stuff. I’ve always thought a few germs are a good thing, helps build up resilience.
Some dolls I give a good creampie, then scoop out the jizz by fisting, use some Plenty Kitchen towel to dry up a little, stick in the aquarium pump and job done. And most of my creampie superstars have never seen soap and water…
