Maybe you keep your dolls out in the open, for everybody to enjoy (if they have good taste). But maybe you prefer to keep your dolls all to yourself and if any guests come by, they won’t be able to find your secret doll hideout.
In my case, I do have a storage room at my place where I put all my suitcases, boxes and miscellaneous stuff. I intend to cram in there some training equipment later.
But behind the boxes and blinds I have a small space where I move my dolls from my bedroom or home office in case someone is visiting. It’s not properly set up atm but whatever.
That is a great little hideaway , I don’t bother hiding them for two reasons, I have very few visitors out of choice and any that do come here simply have to accept that my girls are a part of my life
Thank you! I also don’t have many visitors and use it as a backup/ change of scenery mostly. Maybe when I’ve delved deeper into this hobby I’ll develop a similar outlook.
I have a small walk-in cupboard that I can get five of my dolls into.
I had someone on a professional job here yesterday so had to hide the ladies there. Then the smallest (Dani) I put in a sleeping bag widthways across the head of the spare bed and piled my spare duvets and cushions over it.
I know that seems like a lot of fuss but the house I live in goes with my job and if my employers discovered I was into dolls they’d probably look very disfavourably on me - possibly even lose my job.
When I retire (soon) I’ll dress my girls and just put them wherever I want them to be and anyone coming to my home will have to accept them (or not!).
Unfortunate your employer is like that, but better safe than sorry. Mine wouldn’t be any better most likely. I hope you look forward to retiring and living more leisurely!
