In what ostensibly seems like good news, Kimber Doll UK has a sale right now; huge discounts on Deluxe (£220 off) and Standard (£170 off).
These are crazy levels of discount. It seems too good to be true, so surely there’s got to be a catch? Is there going to be a Kimber Doll “Extreme” in 12 months and they’re shifting old stock? (In the same was as they had an unexpected Black Friday sale the year before announcing Deluxe).
It took them over a year to shift enough Standard model stock before putting the Deluxe on sale in the UK, despite bigging her up on TDF a whole year before; even then, kimberdoll.eu didn’t offer Deluxe at all as of early this year. Now the EU site is offline and ping reports the domain as myshopify.com.
No sale in AU, but there is one in US: only $100 off Deluxe but $200 off standard. Deluxe is sold out in AU, no mention of when new stock is coming.
Call me a cynic, but this all seems murky as hell and far too good to be true

I don’t mean she’s out of stock, she’s not even listed. Kimber AU has them listed and out of stock. Kimber US still has some at just under full price and Kimber CA has them at the usual inflated CA prices. Sadly, that gives weight to the suspicion that they aren’t going to make any more. Just as well I bought two in the last couple years.
