If say your house burnt down and you lost all your possessions, and you had to rebuild your life (I know it’s a terrible thought - it is just a thought):
Q: Would you buy your doll(s) again?
And if so:
Q: Who/what would you buy again?
If someone would buy their doll again, the doll has been a great success. If they wouldn’t buy the doll again, there is something to be learnt there.
Yes, no guarantee a re-purchased doll will be the same, and some dolls become unobtainium over time (like the manufacturer stops production.)
I already have a couple of dolls (doll faces) that I have bought more than once:
Gracie Bardot II: I bought her SM91 head once on a torso, then again on an SM148D.
Aniyah III: I bought her head back in 2016 on a WM140A (now not legal to import into the UK), Aniyah II failed to arrive in 2022, Aniyah III in 2024 came on a WM158A.
I’m pretty certain that if my house burnt down. When I’ve got myself back on my feet again, I would most likely get these dolls again (Gracie perhaps on an SM156A).
Also, skinny Miss Storm has been such a superb sex doll, I would have to buy her again (she might be the first I’d rebuy.) And there are definitely others I would rebuy .
I already replaced Kimber when she wore out then upgraded her to Deluxe. Caz/Azrael are scheduled for replacement with identical STPE versions as she is wearing out too. If Zelex make the new AIO in a sculpt more like the 170C, then Carmen will likely be next. So yes!
That is an interesting question.
I feel that some of the dolls been a success even though I would not buy them again.
I moved on from TPE to silicone since the silicone blends are now so much different and they are more affordable and there are more options. There is the IT150 I would still buy again, cause there is no similar sculpt to be found in silicone and the WM 61 head you see on my avatar needs to go somewhere. I will be very tempted to get the RLSD174B and an IT Miki head. There is an XY Doll I definitely would like to get again, but I think I can not get it anymore.
I got some dolls that were great opportunities at that time and are absolutely adorable. But with the new silicone dolls on the market.
And from my silicone ones, the JM Doll, I am not sure I can get her again, but would like another JM Doll then.
I am torn on my SM 156C. I love the body, it is really good craftmanship too. The head just seems a bit too small.
The YL one is tough question, love the head, the body feels outdated compared to the IT doll I got this year. I mean painting, hardness.
I took in a Starpery doll with a broken back. Since, still having her being able enough, thinking about giving her a healthy body: yeah, I would like her again.
And my new IT doll, yes, sure, she would be revived.
I would repurchase without hesitation my TAYU 150c Katniss again. Without. Hesitation. I love my Ashlyn to the moon and back.
I am not nearly that attached to my other doll. I do have an incoming IT 161 that I might feel the same way about. I don’t know. I’d have to experience her, if you know what I mean. Nudge, nudge. Wink, wink.
Yes, I would buy dolls again… I have too many mental health issues to go without dolls.
I would repurchase my 2nd and 3rd dolls:
Josh, Qita 155cm silicone male “Chu” (falsely advertised as 165cm)
I’d also take the opportunity to upgrade him to shrugging shoulders, since his current body doesn’t have that feature.
Connor, Cooby 153cm silicone male “Ethan”
I would not repurchase Xiaomo, DHDOLL 172cm TPE male. I like him, but the body is too heavy, their TPE blend smells awful, the body sculpt has some unnecessarily awkward proportions, and TPE just doesn’t offer the realism or durability I require. Instead, I’d replace him with the closest silicone equivalent (Cooby 175cm male), likely with a custom head; actually, I plan on doing this anyways sometime next year.
I would get Millie again. She is my first quality doll. I didn’t get her because she was pretty, but I liked her other features. But she has grown on me. She’s not going anywhere.
I have already picked up 2 other Piper Ariels (in different sizes and materials), but I will purchase a 140cm TPE replacement for April-May once she get’s too many miles under her well travelled feet.
If they ever retire that size and model, I will have to purchase and store enough for the rest of my time on this planet.
Yeah sure. If something broke on one of my more beloved dolls, I’d get them again but also probably keep the old one if possible. If they couldn’t stand they’d become more of a fixture for sleeping of lounging on the couch or something.
