She’s really ‘dolled up’. Love the split skirt too.

Merry Christmas!

I’m off until the new year, so what better time than now to catch up on all the months of photo contest updates I didn’t post while I was posting Disconnected? Let’s start off today with a topical December!

Above, Arachne and Seraphina in “Christmas Morning Elves”

Oddly enough, that was actually the only contest I entered with my lovely fullsized ladies this month! Check out the Clan’s thread for more from them.

Yesterday I sat down in bed with Arachne, Seraphina, Evey and Saffee and we had a very successful day working on scripts for next year!

There’s still a lot of work to do, but I got about 11 pages typed. At the end of the day I did decide to try out a night with both of my lovely ladies, however there was one small problem…

Yeah, I ended up crawling under the covers from the foot of the bed, much to the amusement of Arachne and Seraphina! Bottom line, I don’t think I’ll be trying it again. About the only pro was being in close proximity to two lovely elves but the cons were many. It was cramped. I couldn’t effectively cuddle with both of them. Getting in and out was more trouble than it was worth. It was the worst sleep I’ve had in some time and I’m only running on about 4 hours today. The sleep I did get was in my usual position snuggling with Arachne, although Seraphina did get some cuddles too.

I’m glad I tried it, but if I want to cuddle with both of them again it will be either on the upright bed or the couch.

After a surprisingly bad night trying to sleep with two elves in my bed (there’s a lot of cons that heavily outweigh the pros), Arachne agreed to let Seraphina spend a night snuggling with me alone. For some reason she became very protective of us.

“Agent, I can’t sleep,” whispered Seraphina.

I sighed and nodded at her. “Okay, I’ll say something,” I said softly back.

“Arachne, I’m sorry, but do you have to stand at the window like that? You always leave the swords on the wall at night, now you’ve got one on your hip and a dagger strapped to your back. I can hear the spider you’re petting purring. Seraphina’s feeling a little intimidated by all this and can’t sleep. We spoke about this and you agreed you were okay with trying it out. I’m not saying you have to leave the room or anything, but could you tone it down a little?”

The drow had been gazing out the window to the frozen street below ever since Seraphina and I had gone to bed.

Arachne turned and looked at us. “You misunderstand me, Seraphina. I wish to watch over both of you. Protect you. Sleep soundly for nothing shall harm either of you in my presence, or may Lolth test me. I stand watch here. Rhyl watches the hallway and frost spiders patrol the property outside.”

I smiled. “I’m sorry, Arachne. I misjudged. Thank you.” She had invoked the name of her goddess, the surest sign she was serious. “Seraphina, we are the safest we could possibly be. It’s okay.”

Seraphina looked Arachne up and down again, her confident stance, her hand on the hilt of her sword, the purring spider against her breast. Arachne smiled at her.

“I’m sorry, too. I’m glad you’re my friend, Arachne. Good night.”

“Sleep well and good night, my friends,” replied Arachne.

Queen of the Castle
Matron Mother Arachne Baenre in “Kneel”

Evey stood before the powerful drow, her arms firmly bound behind her back and the tatters of what was once her clothes hanging from her hips. The little elf may have lost most of her dignity but she still stood tall and held her head high before her captor.
Arachne lounged upon her throne made from the golden webs of Lolth herself. In one hand she swirled a glass of green fungus wine, the best Menzoberranzan had to offer the leader of the most powerful House, that of Baenre. In the other hand she fiddled with the chain that went from her fingers down to the collar around the neck of her captive. She watched the pale skinned elf for a moment then took another sip of her wine. Looking at her again, she only had one commanding word to offer her. “Kneel.”

October Photo Contests

Only Black and White with a Pinch of Optional Color, Halloween Spooky Special
Seraphina is “Investigating in her Underwear”

Originally I was going to enter this as just a B&W, then decided to add a mask to it based on luminance to give it a splash of color. The best part? This made me notice that Seraphina is hiding a subtle six-pack! Go on, then. Check the fuse pannel in the basement. The fact that the power went out while we were watching a news report about a serial killer on the loose is purely coincidence! Ah, horror movie tropes.

Shadows
Arachne and Seraphina in “Shadow Puppets”

Yes, this one has been posted as part of a story as well. And yes, those shadows are legit. It took a bit of work to make them come to life! What hasn’t been posted before is the photo that I took as a backup before I came up with this idea. Now we know who flipped the main breaker!

My Monster
Arachne and Seraphina in “Territorial”

Too bad Seraphina isn’t still in her underwear in this one or we would have had a nice little story in this month’s contests! The previous bonus Shadows photo was taken while shooting this photo. I’d just bought this new light and was really getting my money’s worth out of it! I call it my Sun Gun because depending on atmospheric conditions it can be brighter than the sun! Arachne doesn’t appreciate it.

Magic Trick
Arachne and Seraphina in “Never Ending Blue Balls”

Arachne and Seraphina in Never Ending Blue Balls 3.9 mb

Oh look, that light again! I enjoy that I opted to go for some corny magic trick instead of some magic magic with my two fantasy creatures. But, it was fun and that’s what it’s all about! Kinda like “why is Arachne wearing glasses?” Cause she’s cute in them. That’s all the reason I need!

That’s it for October for full sized! We’re hosting some family tomorrow and going out to my parent’s place Thursday. I’ll get November’s photos posted this weekend and we’ll be all caught up again. I also spent several hours changing Arachne and Seraphina’s outfits today. Oh, how I love playing dress-up with sexy elves! It’s an advantage of having a doll on a stand. My biggest excuse to changing Arachne’s outfit was being too lazy to get her out of bed to do it. Now, it’s a few cranks of a handle to get whoever’s on the stands feet off the ground, and away we go! I’ve already got a few photos of both of them that I’ll share in the coming days, look forward to that!

This was Seraphina’s first contest win!

Tomorrow I’ll have some new photos from the family celebrations this week (by posting this I now have to make sure I actually follow through!).

For the past few years my family has celebrated the holidays closer to New Years. My sister and her husband come to town and stay with my parents. They come to my place one day and we hang out and the other day we are all at my parent’s place.

Now that I have a Coeros stand for both of my ladies I decided to try something a little different and both of them greeted my sister and Brother in Law like this.

While it was nice I don’t think I’ll do it with both of them again. We spend the day at the kitchen table hanging out and playing games. I rolled Seraphina in, then myself, and Arachne on my other side. The problem with them standing instead of sitting is that I can’t put an arm around their shoulders or a hand on their legs. After realizing this I ended up taking Arachne off her stand and she sat with me (with Seraphina’s stiff joints it’s a lot more effort to get her off the stand and onto a chair).

For the most part, I think this is going to be the only time of year I bring both Arachne and Seraphina to family gatherings. It takes a lot of physical effort to load both of them into the car, into another house, and then back out and into mine. With all the doll stuff I did in a short period I ended up with a few overworked muscles!

Things have been going well with Arachne and Seraphina; Arachne allowed Seraphina to have the front seat which I thought was nice. The roads were incredibly icy so I wasn’t able to give her the full R experience, but some day we’ll blow her hair back!

This was of course Seraphina’s first Christmas! She was absolutely mesmerized by the lights on the tree (obviously not an actual tree, my parents switched to this a few years ago. Easier to store and easier to set up, I imagine).

If you’d like to see more of Seraphina’s outfit, I finally started a thread for her! You can find that thread here. This new thread will probably end up as mostly photos of her outfits but there’s a chance she’ll get a solo story at some point that might get posted there. When she gets introduced to the main story that will of course happen in the Adventures thread (I’m still working on that). Out of character stories that involve both her and Arachne will remain in this thread.

How about some more of Arachne’s outfit? There seemed to be a lot of people yearning for a goth girlfriend this Christmas, but I’ve already got one! She’s such a beauty!

Do these posts need words? No, not when the photos speak for themselves!

This top was an experimental piece. I don’t remember if I posted about it, but I wanted to use it to experiment with ways of modifying tops so that they could be closed at the back so they could be easily put on while Arachne was on her stand. I thought adding snaps would work but I tried it on this top and it didn’t work well at all. The snaps didn’t attach well to the thin fabric and because it’s so stretchy, the holes made for the snaps stretched and one of the snaps actually came out of the hole while taking it off. Also, because this fabric is so stretchy, the back didn’t close up at all and gaps opened up between each button showing skin. I tried velcro this time and it worked really well! It was super easy to sew it on with a machine and now it’s doing a much better job of holding the shirt together and not struggling at all against the stretch of the fabric. I left one snap in at the top for the turtle neck. It’s a double thickness of fabric there and seems to be holding up. The rest of the outfit came together around the shirt. I had my doubts for a long time, but I like the finished product! She’s looking hella cute as perhaps some kind of street tough. You’d better give her your wallet, I’m pretty sure that little blade on her thigh is enchanted to get bigger if she draws it!

Something that Warms Up
Arachne and Seraphina in “Fiery Redhead”

… I think there was a misunderstanding when I referred to Seraphina as a “fiery redhead.”

A Part of Me
Arachne and Seraphina in “A Pointed Example of Elven Superiority”

The original for my new signature image! Definitely one of my favorite photos so far this year, but it may have been bumped down to number 2 today… A hard call!

Decades
Arachne and Seraphina in “2020: Stay out of Melee Range”

The drow’s sensitive ears could hear the thwop-thwop-thwop of the careless surface elf’s sandals hitting her heels with every step as she approached. It didn’t sound like she was going to stop or go around. At the last second the drow spun and drew her sword in one fluid motion and pointed it at the elf’s chest.

“Gah!” cried the elf in surprise, the blade poking into her skin but not piercing it.

“If I can attack you with this sword, you’re too close!” warned the drow.

Why not this decade! I’m sure we all saw our share of social distancing signs, this is a reenactment of one from the gaming community. In DnD and other role playing games, a medium sized creature occupies a 5 foot square. If they are engaging in melee combat with most weapons such as Arachne’s sword, they can attack any square adjacent to them. Anything two squares away, leaving a 5 foot gap, was safe. And so the phrase was coined in gaming circles to “Keep out of melee range.”
