Behind the Scenes (Show us the set-up)

Your setup does what is required. Enough light to show off your beautiful girl

The R&D continues, I made a few changes to the prototype. It worked pretty well but after some testing I think there are too many moving parts for doll hair to get caught in.

Hmm… perhaps a grommet like some heat shrink so that the hinge still moves but prevents the hair from getting into the swivel bits?

That’s an interesting idea. Thanks for the input, It’s good to get new thoughts on this but I think a solid vertical loop is the way to go now.

Not sure I understand  What is the utility of that “movable ring” on the left ? :face_with_monocle:

I believe so there can be movement (or flexibility) in the pose so to speak while providing support, but I’m sure Fix will be here to verify.

Hi IKE,

That was an idea to keep the hanging loop vertical. I was having issues with the original horizontal loop and that was just one idea to remedy that.
I’m working on a more solid vertical loop now.

A step by step behind the scenes Doll photography studio

So here it is my studio, or at least when the mechanic work is being done.
so step one black cloth and floor cover

next step backdrop and back light for backdrop

next is back lighting for the gal

next is the front lighting and boom light

Now all we need is a victim …errr model yea thats the word model. :yum:

and there you have it a studio in the garage.

Came up with a new design for the neck mounted doll stabilizer. This one should be somewhat compatible with dolls that have neck air tubes. (Thanks to @Jimmy_71 for sending the neck photo)
The vertical hanging loop is much better now.

Until I get my machine shop in order about the best I can do is drill, foredom, files and hand tools. I can do it, but it sure would take a while.
