Review - FunWest FWD072-036 European Lily - STPE

FunWest FWD072-036 European Lily - STPE

I have been given the honour of reviewing one of FunWest’s STPE dolls, FWD072-036 162F. FunWest sent 2 heads : European Lily with moveable eyelids, and a standard Rose to me gratis to write this review and take photos for promotion on social media. The doll I received includes features that have an extra cost involved and I feel that they are worth it.

This review is a combination of facts and my opinions based on my experience of this doll.

Rose Introducing Rose: The Newest FunWestDoll Sensation - FunWestDoll

Unboxing.

Feel free to skip past this section but I have included it for anyone interested in how securely FunWest package their dolls ready for shipping.

The box is a sturdy double-walled corrugated cardboard box, it had clearly been opened by customs and sealed back up securely, there was no damage to the box or contents.

Plenty of bubble packaging aided in keeping everything in place along with closed-cell polyethylene foam sheets for the base, sides and shoulder restraints. MDF panels also protected the contents from any knocks or bumps.

A fluffy blanket was wrapped around the doll with the heads safe and secure between the legs.

A care package was included containing a certificate of authenticity, a nightie, a user manual, white gloves, USB heater, a douche a quick release neck bolt and a comb.

The skeleton and body.

The skeleton is sturdy and all of the joints are as stiff as I would expect from a new doll, but move smoothly and hold poses perfectly.

The neck has front-to-back and side-to-side joints allowing a decent range of motion, great for photography and adding a ball-jointed neck bolt gives all the head positions you could possibly want, even without there is plenty of scope for posing.

Shrugging shoulders are a selectable option which move up and down, forwards and backwards. They work very well to the point that the doll can shrug higher than would be natural so more than enough for photography. The manual states that the upper arms can move about 120 degrees forward and 45 degrees backwards, I would say they can move more than that but to protect the STPE I would suggest not pushing past the recommended limits. The forearms can be rotated at the elbow and bent to the point where the wrist can meet the shoulder at its fullest extent.

The torso twists well with side-to-side and front-to-back joints and holds all positions well, the hips allow spreading of the legs and movement of the legs forwards and backwards although spreading them too far or for too long has the potential for damage due to overstretching.

The wrists can bend 90 degrees up and down and side to side along with rotation, the articulated fingers are an excellent extra, they bend nicely at the joints and are tight enough to hold objects and hold poses without any problems, and can be spread sideways just like a human, but care must be taken with consideration to the possibility of finger pokes in the same way you would with wired fingers.

The hands have very detailed lines on the palms and the fleshy pads close to the fingers, painted veins on the wrists and raised & painted veins on the back of the hands are a very nice feature.

The knees bend a lot, the limiting factor is when the thigh meets the back of the shins, any further and the STPE pushes back, as you would expect, but it is enough for kneeling poses. They also rotate side-to-side.

The ankles can be bent forward for a relaxed ‘pointed toe’ pose but cannot go back any further than having the feet at 90 degrees to the shin to make standing more secure, only recommended if the the standing option of three foot bolts per foot has been selected. The foot bolts are connected to a solid footplate. The ankles also rotate side-to-side almost 90 degrees, this combination allows for a plethora of poses and positions. The feet have bumps for the ankle joint, raised veins and natural detail on the soles which add to the aesthetics of the doll.

STPE & body painting.

There isn’t a strong smell from STPE, there is a subtle and pleasant scent that I hope won’t fade with time, it is very smooth and pleasant to touch and stroke. I don’t get the feeling of my fingers dragging along the surface like I have in the past with TPE.

STPE dolls are made using the same molds as TPE but veins are more prominent and realistic, it also allows for body painting so veins are subtly painted in places where they are visible on humans, such as breasts, inner thighs, hands & wrists, feet etc. Subtle freckles on the face are well done and look lovely, all of which adds greatly to the realism if body painting is a chosen option.

STPE is softer than my experience of TPE but not too soft, the gel breasts are a glory to behold and a very pleasurable experience. The navel is the most detailed navel I have experienced, coupled with a lovely and natural tummy bump, and the tactile & aesthetics jump up a notch.

From opening the box I immediately noticed that the doll did not feel greasy in the way that TPE dolls often do and this has not changed over the few days it has been here, one of the claims of STPE is that it doesn’t leech oil to the same degree as TPE and my initial experience gives credence to that claim. It gives me confidence in the other claim, that STPE has more elasticity and long-lasting abilities than TPE. During my short time with European Lily I can say that STPE and body painting is well worth the extra cost.

Moveable eyelids.

These are a game-changer for photographers, the eyes can go from almost closed to wide open creating a wide range of expressions, easy to move and very effective. The ability to move either the upper eyelid, the lower eyelid or both, along with moving the eyeballs to look sideways, straight forward, upwards or downwards can be very expressive. FunWest are rolling this feature out across their STPE range, currently they are getting close to half of the heads having this feature so it is worth asking before ordering.

The 2nd head I received is Rose, she is a lovely and happy face.

I cannot mention LHP as I don’t have sex with my dolls and the vaginal seal (an STPE skin covering the inner opening designed as proof of virginity amongst other reasons) is currently still in place.

After my experience with Romi (Asian Alice) I was already impressed with the quality standards of FunWest and they produce a large range of lovely faces which should suit anyone, add to that the detail of their STPE range of dolls & moveable eyelids and it really steps things up for those who desire more realism, whether for personal enjoyment or photography.

A change of eyes, courtesy of FunWest for this review, along with a change of wig and she has started to develop her look and character, an easy way for anyone to individualize their doll.
