TAYU has interested me for a long time and I’m always interested in seeing factory photos. I’ve noticed that a few of the other Doll Company threads had Factory Photos threads and thought:
“Hey! That’s what TAYU needs!”
So if you have any factory photos you’d like to share. I might help out future shoppers.
I got the square connector with the circular adaption kit. I’m not sure if it comes as standard, but I did revert it back to the circular one and modified it so the neck does NOT turn with the head.
I don’t like how much force and pressure it puts on the connection that attaches to the head itself. I also like to put the double jointed M16 Coroes style one for better posing during photo shoots.
Doll arrived and looked JUST like the factory pictures. That’s why, to me, factory pictures are so important. They really let people know what they are getting. And these beauties aren’t cheap!
I saw Roberto’s 148D Ivy recently (who (whom?) he named Karen. Yes, Karen. He loves that name and won’t let some random Karen ruin it for him. Ha!"
Roberto’s was kind enough to let me examine some of her most touched parts. To which I mean, I didn’t pull out an endoscope and look deep within her holes.
She’s still perfect and she’s… um… used… often. According to Roberto, almost every single night. Whew! That would exhaust me!
But he says that the combination of her great beauty, durability, softness and lightness makes the task very… uh… untask-like.
I could not find any worn spot on her anywhere, though I do confess that I wasn’t obnoxious in my examinations.
She DOES have little dimples here and there but they are not very pronounced and look very, very much like the little dimples here and there that you’d find on a flesh and blood woman. I counted the dimples and came up with 8 of them… and they made me want to lick them off of her… ehem… but I restrained myself (Roberto was watching me!)
I think I can safely say that, even with regular use, TAYUs really hold up: Joints, nails, paint, etc.
Now, is it possible to get a bad one? Yes, absolutely. Point me to ANY consumer good that doesn’t have its fair share of lemons. They happen. It’s an imperfect world.
